Trouble in Toad Town – Episode 1 – Mama Mia!

It was dark. Completely dark. Nobody knew where they were. They appeared to be in a strange, dark tunnel.

They were all in a group, though nobody could tell how many of them there were. One person felt along the walls of the tunnel and soon spotted a beam of light shining towards them. There was an exit!

“Hey, guys! I found a way out!” he said.

The others followed him as they ran towards the exit. Soon they found themselves in a totally different, yet somehow familiar environment. Dwarf-sized inhabitants wearing white hats with red polka dots waddled by. The group of people could have sworn they saw creatures that resembled turtles walking around.

The group took a look around and in an instant recognized each other. They knew that they’d seen each other before somewhere. Then they realized they were all SpongeBob Community users and they’d somehow been teleported into this strange world.

“Welcome!” said one of the creatures cheerfully. “My name is Toad!”

“Toad…Toad…I know this name…” said CDCB.

“Where are we?” asked SOF.

“Why, you’re in Toad Town,” said Toad, “home of all the toads!”

“You mean Toad Town from the Mario series?” asked Wumbo.

“Oh yes! Mario does live here!” said Toad. “Would you like to see him?”

The SBC users just stared at each other.

“I’ll take that as a yes!” said Toad. “Follow me!”

The SBC users were led through a pipe which led to a tiny house.

Inside the house, Mario was at the table eating some pasta.

“Oh, I do love a-me some a-ravioli!” said Mario.

Just then, there was a knock at the door.

“Mama mia!” said Mario putting down his fork and knife. “Who’s at the a-door?”

Mario waddled on over to the front door and opened it. Much to his surprise, he saw his friend, Toad.

“Toad! What are you a-doing here?” said Mario.

“Mario!” said Toad. “Some friends would like to see you!”

“Mama mia!” said Mario. “I’ve a-never seen a-you before!”

“Umm…hey Mario,” said CDCB awkwardly. “What’s…up?”

“Luigi is up fixing the a-light bulb,” said Mario. “But that is irrelevant. What a-brings you here?”

“Well, that’s the thing, we don’t know,” said Wumbo.

“We just appeared here,” said SOF.

“Mama mia!” said Mario redundantly, “This could only be the works of the a-Bowser.”

Just then, a voice came from the back of Mario’s house.

“Mario, who’s at the door?” said Luigi.

“These are a-friends. The a-Bowser brought them here,” said Mario.

“Well I don’t know if it was—” CDCB started to say, but stopped midsentence.

Mario didn’t hear, and neither did Luigi or Toad.

“So, do you a-boys have a place to stay?” asked Mario.

“Well,” said SOF, “we just got here, so...”

“Mama mia!” said Mario for the fourth time. “We have to find you a place to a-stay!”

“Hey Mario, they could stay here if they want,” said Luigi “There are some extra beds in the room over there.”

“Mama mia!” said CDCB. “That would be great!” Then he realized. “Oh great, now I’m doing it.”

“I see you’re getting along nicely!” said Toad. “I’ll leave now!”

And with that, Toad was gone.

Soon it was time for dinner. Mario, Luigi, and the SBC users had spaghetti and mushrooms.

Meanwhile, Bowser was at work on his latest plan.

“Bwa ha ha! My latest plan will be fool proof!” he gloated. “With Mario and Peach out of the picture, nobody will be able to save them! Then I will rule over the Mushroom Kingdom!”

“Mr. Bowser, sir!” said a Koopa Kid. “Your dinner is ready!”

“Bwah!” shouted Bowser. “I will have my fireballs first, and then I will put my plan into action!”
