We've hit 500 members!SBC News
What's New?
Currently.... SBC has hit over 500 members! This is great news for us, and hopefully we'll be getting to 600 members soon. Also, a brand new contest is going on. The first 5 users to find a golden ticket hidden somewhere on the forum, will get early access to v7! Congratulations to SOF who was the first person to find the ticket. Remember - use your heads! There are only 3 spots left. See the "Lost Temple" announcement on the homepage for more. Speaking of contests, don't forget to participate in our other contest to put a funny, original caption on an image. The winner will receive 1000 doubloons.
In the future... SBC will be moving to vBulletin on August 26th, 2011. This will also be the launch of v7. We had a good time on forumotion, but it is time for us to move. Stay tuned for more!Richest Users

Yes. I got locked out of my account. I tried to get my password sent back to my e-mail address four times, but the e-mail wouldn't show up. I checked the junk mail box, and nothing was there. I asked jjs for help, but he hasn't gotten back to me yet.

Ah well that explains it
I thought for a minute there that someone couldn't think of an original username and just decided to make it Metal Snake 2

Yeah. The reason I got locked out was because someone deleted the cookies for SBC, and I usually have Firefox remember my password. Thank god something like this never happened when I was on TV.com.

That's pretty strange. Was the password you used the same one you use for other sites?

That's a bad, bad idea. Things like these will always happen then :s
As long as you keep it secret, using the same password works the best, IMO.

Re: One Too Many Metal Snakes
I'd like to respectfully disagree with all the people who say that different passwords are a bad idea. While I sometimes repeat passwords, most of them are different, and other than a couple annoying instances where I type in the wrong password for something, the system has worked fine for me.

Yeah, I know. If one person finds out your password, and you've used that password for every site you've visited, then it's a problem.

If someone finds out your password, it's not a very good password.Metal Snake wrote:Wumbology wrote:I'd like to respectfully disagree with all the people who say that different passwords are a bad idea. To each his own, but I find it much easier to use one password for everything.

I agree with 70s and everyone else. My password is password. lolz just kidding. But it's pretty damn stupid when people use password as their password.
