While it doesn't beat Seasons 1-3 of Family Guy, it has been better than Family Guy the past couple years. I think that Seth MacFarlane has been focusing more on this show lately than his others and I have been enjoying it

Not as good as Family Guy's first 3 seasons, but it's really enjoyable at times

I LOVE American Dad! It's sort of like what Family Guy used to be, you know? Francine and Stan's relationship is almost exactly like what Peter and Lois used to have, except for the fact that Lois wasn't a total ditz. The characters are more relatable and have believable flaws, and my personal favorite, the teenage daughter doesn't get abused as much. I used to think it was a carbon copy of Family Guy, then I started watching it on Adult Swim and fell in love with it. Francine and Roger make me laugh so hard. But the show DOES have flaws. For instance, Steve can be a real pain in the ass sometimes, same goes for Stan, some of the jokes are just a little too immature for my taste, and some of the character designs are a little unappealing. Other than those (and many other) flaws, this show is my new Family Guy.
