How do I choose?

I'm developing feelings for a friend of mine. Her name is Lily, and she's been one of my best friends since third grade. She's kinda goth and she used to be bi, but she's really nice and pretty. I'm afraid to tell her how I feel because she already has a seventeen year old boyfriend. She's a grade below me because she was failed because of her bad score in math. But I also like this boy named Ben Septer. He's a sci-fi geek and we've been friends for two years. He's hilarious and he told me I was pretty with my mascara on at school the other day. I'm really confused right now, and I don't know who to choose.


I'm thirteen, and at my school if you're gay that automatically makes you a horrible person. I live in the south and people are severely homophobic.


What do you guys think I should do?

Well, if I were bi I would choose the one I would choose if I were hetero. So for your situation, I should choose the boy.

Go with Lily. She's you best friend. But be careful.
It might ruin you friendship.

You should go for Lilly, she seems to be your best friend, like Dragiiin said.

This is hard, but I'd choose the boy if I were in your shoes. Lily has a boyfriend too, and you could mess up your friendship.
