Chatbox - A Complete Guide

The Chatbox is a cool tool on SBC. I now present you with a guide to everything you can do with the Chatbox. This should be read over to have a complete understanding of what can be done to reach the Chatbox's full potential.


The Chatbox has plenty of quick capabilities. Here is a list.

/clear (or /cls) - Clears all messages from the Chatbox.
/ban - Bans users from the Chatbox. Moderators/administrators must use the username. For example, "/ban ExKizuna" could be used to ban ExKizuna from the Chatbox. (/unban can also be used to unban users)
/kick - Forces a user to exit the Chatbox. Like Ban/Unban, a username must be provided.
/me - Used to describe an action. If I said "/me is hungry" then the Chatbox would say "*that70sguy92 is hungry" and etc.
/exit - Can be used to automatically log out from the Chatbox. A reason can be given.
/abs - You can automatically go on Away. A reason can be given.

KEY:
Bold - Moderator/Admin command
Italics - Member command (of course, staff can also use it)


You will be put on Away after 5 minutes of no communication, and 10 minutes of no communication will log you out of the Chatbox (session timeout). This can be prevented by occasionally posting a ".". This does not give you a free pass to spam the "." and may only be done approximately every five minutes. More than that may result in a kick or ban from the Chatbox.

You can tell if someone is a moderator on the Chatbox if they have an "@" in front of their name. Every Admin, Moderator, and GFX Designer will be a moderator, and members proven to be active and responsible on the Chatbox may be granted moderator status, though perhaps temporary.
