SBC News
What's New? Currently.... SBC has hit over 500 members! This is great news for us, and hopefully we'll be getting to 600 members soon. Also, a brand new contest is going on. The first 5 users to find a golden ticket hidden somewhere on the forum, will get early access to v7! Congratulations to SOF who was the first person to find the ticket. Remember - use your heads! There are only 3 spots left. See the "Lost Temple" announcement on the homepage for more. Speaking of contests, don't forget to participate in our other contest to put a funny, original caption on an image. The winner will receive 1000 doubloons. In the future... SBC will be moving to vBulletin on August 26th, 2011. This will also be the launch of v7. We had a good time on forumotion, but it is time for us to move. Stay tuned for more!

Let's talk about Repecting other people. However, since Devient was an ass towards us, he really meant to say Respect. But really now, let's have a short discussion on respect :

How to Respect People
Step 1- A Mistake and Good Grammar: Many people make countless mistakes sometimes, which causes them to get insulted. Unfortunately, I cannot do anything about the countless mistakes people make. But really now, if you want to avoid getting insulted, look up to see whatever question your about to ask. And some users may have some grammar issues. Now, let's not jump on their back too fast. Maybe it was a simple mistake or they aren't good at typing.
Step 2- Cruel: Don't just go jumping on someone's back and insulting them...Unless they did something bad in the past, or present. Or they are a jerk. Remember kids, sometimes people are joking and aren't really insulting you.
Step 3- An Argument: If you get into a fight with someone, that is your fault. *The Staff are not responsible for anything that happens to your feelings*
Step 4- Uh Oh: Oh and some users here may or may not have autism or some other symptom.. Let's take a note at spongebobiscool for example. We bashed him, but once we saw his SpongeBuddy Mania account and learned he had autism, we all felt like assholes. But for a future note, users should said they have a symdrome or something in a PM to an admin so we know to not go hard on them.
Step 5- Opinions: Oh and one more thing..People are entitled to their own opinions. If someone doesn't like a show you like, too bad. I know countless people who hate the shows I like, and I don't freak out at them.
Step 6- The Hate Rage: If you hate one of the staff members here, I'm afraid you'll have to start respecting them. They are more powerful than you and they deserve respect.

This is not meant to harm other users.

I feel like there is something that needs to be said here. The fact that an autistic kid was harassed here absolutely apalls me. The fact that you imply in this thread that it's ok to harass people with bad grammar as long as they aren't autistic, doesn't sit well with me. We should treat every member with respect regardless of their bad grammar or misunderstanding of anything on the forum. Just my two cents.

It's not a rule to use good grammar which is why people 12 and under can't register here.

I know. My point is that it shouldn't have mattered weather he was autistic or not. Bad grammar may be annoying to many users, including myself. But people who use it should be treated with respect regardless.
