Nintendo Launching a 3DS in October?

The media leaks came at a weird time as several people say they let something slip at the DSi XL launch. Sources say that the system is glasses free. They say they want to release it in October so they get a jump start for the holiday season. No one really knows what Nintendo's newest handheld will really look like.

WHY THE FUCK DOES EVERYTHING HAVE TO BE 3-D?

(Personally, I was just fine with Super Mario Bros. for my GameBoy Colour D:)

Try March next year.

Rumored they'll be using the Gen. V Pokemon game to launch the 3DS. Sounds like a shit idea, and I don't plan on spending my money on it. I'm fine with my DS, but I still love my GameBoy Color.

Pretty much. I still make valid points regardless of if you approve of my methods or not. Nintendo isn't stupid enough to not include a switch to turn the 3D function on and off; if you don't want to strain your eyes, go ahead and shut it off. Won't take much effort, and you can continue to play the new games that are coming out without having to play them in the mind-numbing and irritating (not to me, but whatever) 3D that comes with it.

Yep, they're actually making the 3DS. It's no rumor. There was an entire section devoted to it in the October issue of Nintendo Power.

Complaining about 3D being "overrated" is useless. It's happening. Get used to it. If you don't like it, too damn bad; no one is forcing you to watch or play anything in 3D. There will always be an option to not view something in 3D because people who create something in 3D aren't idiots and they know people in the world don't like 3D, and if that happens and they don't have a way to view it normally, then they'll just lose sales.

Don't like 3D movies? Don't put the glasses on.

Don't like 3D video games? Don't turn the 3D on.

No one is forcing you to do anything, so complaining doesn't make a difference.

Anal-ness aside, there are movie theatres out there where the only option is 3-D. If you don't wear the glasses, then the picture is slightly off. I know, I've tried.

So yeah, one way or another, there are some people out there being forced to give in to this craze.

The bolded part is true. I went to see TS3 and they only had it in 3D where I live
