Anything POSITIVE You Find About SEASON 4 and Beyond?

We've been bringing up the downhill conversation for a while, so why not?

I really didn't mind and/or notice, really. Late season 4 (Karate Island, All That Glitters, etc, with the exception of Krusty Towers) was the only bad thing for me at least.

Eh, they're fine. A lot of the episodes are genuinely funny, but I still wouldn't consider the seasons as a whole better than the first three seasons (2 and 3 especially).

And I agree with what you said about late season 4. There is no way Karate Island is the best SpongeBob episode ever, even if it isn't bad.

I know guys! I love karate island, but it's impossible that it's the best episode ever. Anyways, I really don't mind the post movie episodes. I like them a lot, except some s6 episodes...

I don't know why everyone is being so negative. We should all have an "Attitude of Gratitude".

I really liked Krusty Towers and Karate Island.

my two favorite episodes are from season 4 and above, hosue fancy and squidward in clarinet land.

My favorites after the movie are Mrs.Puff You're Fired & Krusty Towers, i love those episodes so much, its also great to see them paired

Wishing u well and Rollar cowards were the only post movie episodes that were 10/10

The animation is wonderful.

I think it does look good now, but I don't know... it doesn't have the same personality the early animation (namely Season 1) did. Just seems really computerized.

Yeah, it's definitely less wacky now than it was in the olden days. Also, less disturbingly realistic close-ups makes a happy boy sad.

I don't think the animation is anything to gripe about. I think it still has decent personality.

Anyway, Krusty Towers, Wishing You Well, Roller Cowards, New Digs, Krabs a la Mode, and Sing a Song of Patrick are all episodes I would put on par with the classic era. Most of Season 8 as well. Actually, there are a lot of episodes that are at least halfway decent. It's just that the post-movie era had more truly terrible episodes. If you took the 20 best episode parings or so from the post-movie era and put them into one season, I think you would have a season that's up to Season 1 standards, at least.

All of what you said here is brilliantly true. But you know what, I say that all of those bad episodes were from the past, and we should just leave the past to the past and the future to the future. Honestly, I'm more worried aboutthe future of Spongebob than the past... He hasn't been in the top 25 for two weeks... in a row. Far as I know, that's never happened in my eyes. Maybe im just overreacting... Also, let's say the ninth season was the last season. You never know if Stephen Hillenburg would come back to direct and write that last season, so that he could get a feel of what it was like back in ye olde days, and to wrap up a show that will go down in history!

i agree wumbo about bringing the episdoes together into one season. actually, they wouild be up to season 2 or 3 standards if it weren't for spongebob's annoyingly higher pitched voice. then they would have been 100 percent classic and fresh like seasons 1-3. except for karate island, whale of a birthday, stuck in the wringer, donut of shame, vikings, and rise and shine. but those were still good ones(kinda). here is a list of all my favorite episodes from seasons 4-7 and the only episodes that i like from those seasons.

the rest i have either seen before but don't remember what they were about at all because i shut the tv off or changed the channel because they were so bad and decided never to watch post movie spongebob episodes ever again(even though i still do sometimes), or i have never seen them before. episodes i like from seasons 8 are Frozen Face Off, Google Artiste, a Friendly Game, and Sentimental Sponge. the rest i have never seen and don't really plan on it. at first i said season 8 was starting to rise uphill in quality again, but now i'd like to take that back. the episodes i saw were good and possibly as good as seasons 1-3 except for sentimental sponge. after seeing sentimental sponge, i like it a lot, but there is still something about it that makes it feel like all those suckish quality episodes from the post movie era, and that leaves me to believe that the rest of the episodes from season 8 will be the same. cant say that for sure though cuz i haven't seen the episodes. but that's what i truly think. nuff said here about everything.

That's all true, and it WOULD be awesome if Stephen Hillenburg returned to wrap up the show. I haven't seen most of Season 8, so I can't decide for myself, but I'd rather have Stephen Hillenburg return to wrap everything up than continue to get half decent episodes.

I don't know. I guess he's gone off to do some marine biology stuff or something.
I did, however, read in an article that he's working on a television project that he's not at liberty of discussing. I'm curious to know more about that.
