Pirates of the Caribbean (movie series)

What does everyone think of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies?

The first one was fantastic. Its probably one of my favorite movies ever. I don't care how many times I watch it, I will never grow old of it.

Then comes the two sequels.

Dead Man's Chest was good, but I felt like there should have been a lot more action. I still like it, but its nothing compared to The Curse of the Black Pearl.

At World's End......what an absolute mess this was. There were so many plotholes that were never resolved, everyone got to become a captain (lame), and it absolutely lagged way too much. Such a disappointing movie and I have not watched it since. I can't stand the thought of having to sit through this movie again.

Now in about three months comes a fourth movie in the series, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. After watching At World's End, you would think I wouldn't go back for more, right? Wrong. I want to see On Stranger Tides because it looks to be focusing much more on Captain Jack Sparrow then the gooey mess that was Elizabeth Swann and Will Turner. Don't get me wrong, I loved that couple, but it became too much of a focal point in the two previous sequels that it just dragged on for far too long and made me despise the couple that I was rooting for in Curse of the Black Pearl. Plus, the On Stranger Tides trailer seems to be the perfect mix of witty writing and cool action scenes that made me fall in love with series.

Well instead of knowing, why not explain why you don't like them? I am curious because you are the first person that I have ever met that at least disliked the first one.

I've just never shown interest in them. It's not my type of movie.

First one was halfway decent. Sequels were trainwrecks.

On Stranger Tides comes out this Friday

Incredibly on the fence about this one since At World's End sucked

just saw Stranger Tides, it was epic

Forgot the new one came out today. But that's cuz I don't care.

Yeah I really don't know about the fourth one. I am going to wait until I hear feedback from friends, critics, etc. about it.
