Classic Nickelodeon

Do you ever wonder why Nickelodeon went down so fast? Do you think it's because old shows were cancelled? Well, yes and maybe. Anyway, talk about some old Nickelodeon shows you'd like to see on the original Network (not Nicktoons Network, because it totally blows now) more often. Heck, even share tidbits of information about classic shows that no one had the bother to look up. You know, stuff like how CatDog really uses the bathroon and such. Or that Nickelodeon used to show Muppets all the time (IF ONLY I WAS BORN IN 1993... oh, and see here: http://muppet.wikia.com/wiki/Nickelodeon ) before Disney got the chokehold on them. Anything really.


The show I miss the most is definitely Rugrats. Why? Because; it emphasized all the fun I remember having when I was two years old. I couldn't tell you how many times I thought the plumber was really a pirate! ...He had a weird looking beard, okay? Rugrats was very impressionable.

Rugrats is coming back to Nickelodeon in december (see the thread I made). There's not a thread for this, but i've made several threads about classic Nickelodeon shows.

Nickelodeons's classic era lasted from the late 80's, to 2004. That's actually a long time for a "classic era", but it just seems like it's been so long because of how much Nickeldeon sucks now (except for Spongebob. Spongebob is the only thing keeping Nickelodeon from turning into pure shit).

Really?! It's coming back?! What a coincidence! I just saw a commercial on Nicktoons Network that said Ren and Stimpy are coming back two hours a day for the month of January!

oh. In other news, the complete series of "CatDog", "The Wild Thornberrys", and "Aaahh!!! Real Monsters" are now on amazon.com, but there's a chance the dvd's could be coming to retail in early 2011! I'd buy all of those shows on dvd, hopefully Rugrats, Rocko, and KaBlam! are next!!!

And seriously, if you don't like Nick, then stop watching it. It's not that hard. If you don't like any other network out there (hard to believe) then just shut up because complaining is doing no one any good. If you want to reminisce, fine; just don't complain about Nick not being good while doing it.

I don't watch Nickelodeon anymore (except for Spongebob). There are other networks out there I like too. I was just saying that I feel like Nickelodeon isn't good at all anymore (except for Spongebob).

P.S. Rugrats 20th anniversary is next year, so Nickelodeon might air it for more than those 5 days, or put the series to dvd to celebrate (hopefully).
