We've hit 500 members!SBC News
What's New?
Currently.... SBC has hit over 500 members! This is great news for us, and hopefully we'll be getting to 600 members soon. Also, a brand new contest is going on. The first 5 users to find a golden ticket hidden somewhere on the forum, will get early access to v7! Congratulations to SOF who was the first person to find the ticket. Remember - use your heads! There are only 3 spots left. See the "Lost Temple" announcement on the homepage for more. Speaking of contests, don't forget to participate in our other contest to put a funny, original caption on an image. The winner will receive 1000 doubloons.
In the future... SBC will be moving to vBulletin on August 26th, 2011. This will also be the launch of v7. We had a good time on forumotion, but it is time for us to move. Stay tuned for more!Richest Users

If they talk about how to kill trolls there, I'll watch it as many times as I need to . Seriously, not too interesting though

Re: The Social Network (aka The Facebook Movie)
I appreciate how no one ever sees the movies that will be nominated for "Best Picture of the Year" because they all think it looks "stupid".
Still haven't seen it yet, but I actually WANT to (shocking, how can a person WANT to see this movie?!), mostly because it has a near-perfect rating (scoring a whopping 97%, which is, by the way, more than Avatar got), and because I love any movie Jessie Eisenberg is in.

I hate Facebook so I won't see this movie. Looks stuffy and boring.

Being nominated for "Best Picture of the Year" means nothing when it comes down to a person's opinion/taste in movies.terminoob wrote:I appreciate how no one ever sees the movies that will be nominated for "Best Picture of the Year" because they all think it looks "stupid".

Okay, I'm sorry I'm not as sophisticated as you that I don't want to see a movie about how a website was made. There, I said it. Enjoy the Twitter movie in a couple years, ladies and gents.

"Eh?" what? Did you think Mark Zuckerberg made FaceBook in one night at Harvard while he was drunk?
Re: The Social Network (aka The Facebook Movie)
Is the movie just about his life like an autobiography?

No. -.-
Re: The Social Network (aka The Facebook Movie)
You completely misread my post. I don't care what Mark Zuckerberg did to create Facebook, the movie just doesn't interest me. Therefore, your reply about "if only Facebook was made that way" makes no sense, because I never specified how it was made.terminoob wrote:Wumbology wrote:Eh?terminoob wrote:Wumbology wrote:Being nominated for "Best Picture of the Year" means nothing when it comes down to a person's opinion/taste in movies.terminoob wrote:I appreciate how no one ever sees the movies that will be nominated for "Best Picture of the Year" because they all think it looks "stupid".

I suppose I did, since "I don't want to see a movie about how a website was made" seems to be completely different from "I don't want to see a movie about a social networking site" to me.
Re: The Social Network (aka The Facebook Movie)
Well, I'd rather not see a movie about either. Kapiche?terminoob wrote:Wumbology wrote:You completely misread my post. Yeah I liked it too, I went into it thinking that oh look its a movie about the creation of Facebook, so I am gonna see it just to say I saw it
Turns out it was an awesome movie. Not better than Toy Story 3 or Inception, but its better than everything else I saw this year (sorry Emma, but you are still my boo )

I want to see this movie now. And the actual title for this film is, "The Social Network", not "Facebook: The Movie".

Well duh, I knew that when I created this thread, but I thought naming the thread the way I did would spark more interest......and it kinda did. I am going to fix the title now though since people know about the awesomeness that is The Social Network now
