What's New?
Currently.... SBC has hit over 500 members! This is great news for us, and hopefully we'll be getting to 600 members soon. Also, a brand new contest is going on. The first 5 users to find a golden ticket hidden somewhere on the forum, will get early access to v7! Congratulations to SOF who was the first person to find the ticket. Remember - use your heads! There are only 3 spots left. See the "Lost Temple" announcement on the homepage for more. Speaking of contests, don't forget to participate in our other contest to put a funny, original caption on an image. The winner will receive 1000 doubloons.
In the future... SBC will be moving to vBulletin on August 26th, 2011. This will also be the launch of v7. We had a good time on forumotion, but it is time for us to move. Stay tuned for more!Richest Users

And in other news...
Just post things about stuff happening to TV shows, or TV shows about to come.
- Idol is being reduced by 90 minutes next season, for reasons I cannot remember
- Hell's Kitchen will be back in early June, and will finish before the fall schedule
- Glee has caught it's Hail Mary pass by gaining the coveted time slot after the Superbowl, and will be taken Hell's Kitchen spot in the fall schedule [with no mid-season break!]
- Futurama is returning next month
- Pokemon will end this fall and will start it's new saga the week after this one ends [in Japan, of course]
And... that's all I got. Feel free to post whatever.

Re: And in other news...
The LOST series finale airs tonight at 9pm on ABC. Preceding it is a marathon of LOST, showing every season 6 episode [aside from the finale, of course.]
The clock on 24 will finally stop tomorrow night at 8pm on Fox, as this series is also coming to a close with a 2 hour series finale.
The season finale of Glee will air June 1st [or 15th, depending on whether or not the episode "Funk" will premier], where Vocal Adrenaline and New Directions compete at Regionals.
The Simpsons will be having their own season finale tonight at 8pm on Fox with the episode "Judge Me Tender".

It did jump, but this series finale better explain everything. If it leaves us on an everlasting Cliff-hanger, there will be blood.that70sguy92 wrote:It just really jumped all over the place. NEWS--
Glee was just picked up for a third season. Before the second season even started? You bet. Now let's just hope the ratings don't slip and it will stick around for a long, long time.

Most of the second season would be preparing for Nationals, if they win Regionals. The third season... who knows. They could think of something.terminoob wrote:webizoid345 wrote:Arty will learn to walk.terminoob wrote:that70sguy92 wrote:NEWS--

There's no guarantee on anything, but you're probably right. But it would only take them half a season to prep up for Regionals again, unless they have to start all over and win Sectionals once more.

Re: And in other news...
There are 2 candidates so far to replace Simon Cowell next season on American Idol. Executive producer Simon Fuller is eyeing both Elton John and Madonna for the job.
There's also chatter that since both other original judges will be gone (and a rock is smarter), Randy Jackson may not be around next season. Fuller is considering firing him in an effort to 'revamp the show.' My fingers are crossed, dawg.

Cougar Town creator/executive producer Bill Lawrence wants to rename the show, since the premise has changed from the original concept. ABC is going with the idea if he decides to change the name.
Do you think this is a good move? What would YOU rename it?

First Scrubs goes to Scrubs: Med School and now this? ABC seems to not like Bill's shows if they keep making them stray from their original plot.
Cartoon Network has decided to remake the ThunderCats.
I'm not giving you a punchline because that's not a joke. Here's the poster:

John Stamos will be on Glee next season as a recurring guest star, playing Emma's dentist. Look out, Mr. Schue!
Naya Rivera (Santana) and Heather Morris (Brittany) will also be regulars instead of guest stars.
Kristen Chenoweth (April Rhodes) will also be back. Hopefully it will be better than home. That episode would have worked without her. It was like "Watch this and hear Cheno sing." It was stupid.

He was a pretty good singer in Full House, and now he'll be introduced to Glee's handy dandy autotune. He's a decent actor, IMO. Re: And in other news...
Until yesterday, people thought that if they had bought Glee's "Season 1, Volume 1 - Road to Sectionals" on DVD, then they wasted their money, since FOX was releasing the Complete First Season on September 14th with a 'Gleebate' ($10 off) for those who purchased Volume 1. But yesterday, "Season 1, Volume 2 - Road to Regionals" was announced, containing just the Back 9 episodes of the first season with no Bonus Features. This release will be coming on the same day as the complete season. Purchase of S1V2 also does not make you eligible for the Gleebate, so I would recommend only buying it if you bought Volume 1 like I did. Package art for all 3 releases (and the Blu-ray version of the complete season [volumes won't be on Blu-ray]) below.
Released December 29th of last year.
Coming September 14th!

Re: And in other news...
Family Guy's banned episode, Partial Terms of Endearment, is coming to DVD on September 28th. Here is the official press release from 20th Century Fox...
LOS ANGELES, CA - Drugs, sex, booze, violence and porn...they have dealt with it all, but the Griffin clan have never been so hilariously controversial when the most infamous unaired episode Family Guy: Partial Terms of Endearment arrives uncensored on DVD September 28 from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. Deemed too contentious to air on network television, the jokes stretch from here to maternity in a freakin' poignant tale of what happens when Lois agrees to become a surrogate mother for an infertile couple against Peter's wishes. A fan-favorite and censor's nightmare since its freakin' sweet inception in 1999, the debauchery of the boundary-pushing series is showcased in one of the most talked about episodes. The top selling seasonal TV franchise ever, "Family Guy" features the voice talents of creator Seth MacFarlane ("The Cleveland Show") and comedic actors Alex Borstein ("MADtv"), Seth Green ("Robot Chicken"), Mila Kunis ("That '70s Show") and Mike Henry ("The Cleveland Show").
Family Guy: Partial Terms of Endearment also features a live table read with the entertaining cast of "Partial Terms of Endearment," 9 original songs including 3 never-before-released songs, "The Seth and Alex Almost Live Comedy Show," and Digital Copy. A punch of perverted awesome right in the kisser, Family Guy: Partial Terms of Endearment will be available for a suggested retail price of $14.98 U.S. / $19.98 Canada.
Contents:
"Partial Terms of Endearment"
Special Features:
The Seth and Alex Almost Live Comedy Show
Family Guy: Live and Uncensored Table Read
Animatic for Partial Terms of Endearment
9 Original Songs Composed for Family Guy
Digital Copy
The jokes stretch from here to maternity in the hilariously offensive Family Guy episode you couldn't see on television! Now legal to own (but just barely), Family Guy: Partial Terms of Endearment is a freakin' poignant tale of what happens when Lois agrees to become a surrogate mother for an infertile couple against Peter's wishes.

Re: And in other news...
Not happy about this Family Guy release, I downloaded a copy of this episode that was recorded on the BBC channel in the U.K. and this episode didn't make me laugh at all. They seriously expect someone to pay $10 for a dvd with one episode on it that wasn't even funny. It also made me mad in the end (Spoilers Alert) Peter announces in the last 3 seconds of the episode that they went through with the abortion after her friend died. Family Guy has sucked these last 2 seasons it's just not the same show anymore and they need to stop expressing their political beliefs in the show instead of adding jokes, I don't need to sit there for 5 minutes to hear why Brian's an atheist, they're completely biased with their beliefs, they only make fun of what other people believe and i've never heard them make fun of their beliefs, Never. That's only one of the reasons why I prefer South Park anyday, at least they can make fun of themselves while making fun of others, come to think of it on South Park nobody is ever spared, anything that can made fun of South Park will do it, nobody can complain about being offended by South Park when they've made fun of everbody else already.

Huh? I know a lot of people are gonna get mad at my comment on Family Guy but it's just not the same show anymore and it's terribly overrated.

Re: And in other news...
Britney Spears will be appearing on the Glee episode paying tribute to her, airing later this year. This episode will have the Glee kids hallucinating under dental anesthesia, and will not mention the pop queen's personal life.
One Tree Hill and Life Unexpected, two shows from The CW barely holding on, will soon be having a crossover.
TBS is in negotiations to pick up Ice Cube's Are We There Yet? for another NINETY EPISODES. That would mean a hundred episodes for the infant show. I can't be the only one confused here.
Entourage will officially be ending after Season 8.
New regulars for the new season of Glee are... Mike O'Malley (Burt Hummel, Kurt's dad), Naya Rivera (Santana Lopez), and Heather Morris (Brittany). Glee is returning for its second season on September 21st.
Ratings are good for Gordon Ramsay's new hit, MasterChef. Expect a second season.
The winner of Hell's Kitchen 7 is...
The judges for the tenth season of tired reality show American Idol are: Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, and Steven Tyler. Someone please cancel this show.
The Secret Life of the American Teenager is doing well in ratings, but there is no official announcement on whether or not a fourth season of the show is in the works.

The show stars Courteney Cox (Friends), Christa Milley (Scrubs), Busy Philips (Freaks and Geeks), and more wonderful faces in the lovely ensemble cast.

I'll probably get The Simpsons: Season 13 because I'm a diehard Simpsons fan.
