What's New? Currently.... SBC has hit over 500 members! This is great news for us, and hopefully we'll be getting to 600 members soon. Also, a brand new contest is going on. The first 5 users to find a golden ticket hidden somewhere on the forum, will get early access to v7! Congratulations to SOF who was the first person to find the ticket. Remember - use your heads! There are only 3 spots left. See the "Lost Temple" announcement on the homepage for more. Speaking of contests, don't forget to participate in our other contest to put a funny, original caption on an image. The winner will receive 1000 doubloons. In the future... SBC will be moving to vBulletin on August 26th, 2011. This will also be the launch of v7. We had a good time on forumotion, but it is time for us to move. Stay tuned for more!

Riots in London Empty Riots in London

Been hearing about this on the news lately. This is what I've been collecting on news sites.

Two nights of rioting in London's Tottenham neighborhood erupted following protests over the shooting death by police of a local man, Mark Duggan. Police were arresting him when the shooting occurred. Over 170 people were arrested over the two nights of rioting, and fires gutted several stores, buildings, and cars. The disorder spread to other neighborhoods as well, with shops being looted in the chaos.

Allegedly, the protesters are mad at the government on issues regarding racism (Mark Duggan was black) and social inequality, and the police shooting him was mostly just a cover to finally get these issues out.

I am concerned for not only my e-friends in London, but one of my friends in real life too.

I kind of feel like those people have every right to protest.

This, mostly.
Kinda reminds me of the LA Riots in 1992.

The cause is respectable, but I think they're taking the protests a bit too far.

Yeah I can see that as well. I also feel that the people are right to make their voices heard, but at the same time, riots never turn out too pretty, case in point all the damage that has been done over the past two days.
