What's New?
Currently.... SBC has hit over 500 members! This is great news for us, and hopefully we'll be getting to 600 members soon. Also, a brand new contest is going on. The first 5 users to find a golden ticket hidden somewhere on the forum, will get early access to v7! Congratulations to SOF who was the first person to find the ticket. Remember - use your heads! There are only 3 spots left. See the "Lost Temple" announcement on the homepage for more. Speaking of contests, don't forget to participate in our other contest to put a funny, original caption on an image. The winner will receive 1000 doubloons.
In the future... SBC will be moving to vBulletin on August 26th, 2011. This will also be the launch of v7. We had a good time on forumotion, but it is time for us to move. Stay tuned for more!Richest Users

Lost movies
Movies that were lost to time and or vanished.
Star Godzilla-Hong Kong manufactured rip-off of Godzilla that appeared in a single ad and was never seen again. A few pranks have popped up, and apparently there's a video of the opening credits on Youtube in some different country. It exists.
HIM-
Black The Ripper-A blaxploitation version of Jack The Ripper. God knows what happened to it.
The Wicker Man-While most certainly not lost, 12 minutes or so of footage is lost.
The Big Boss-Not lost, but like Wicker Man, lost some footage, most notably the infamous "Head In The Saw" scene. It's reportedly available on rough cuts and bootlegs with no audio.\
Bruce Lee vs. Gay Power-Been mentioned on a few sites, but no info on what it's about.
Troika-Apparently a three part psychedelic comedy about bugs or something.
Vermillion Eyes-Well, it does exist and people have seen it, but it's not available officially. Only from the filmmaker himself, I believe. Not sure. Costs 5 or so bucks.
Violence In Cinema-1971 comedic short from the Mad Max guy about violent movies.
Uncle Tom's Fairy Tales-Richard Pryor's movie about a white man being tried for raping a black woman. Apparently, the negative print was ripped to shreds.
Alejandro Jordowsky's Dune-Almost. Based on Frank Herbert's best selling novel, HR Giger, Pink Floyd, Orson Welles, and Salvador Dali were all involved. May have been filmed, not quite sure. More info here.
Will post more later.

- Spoiler:
- A movie about the sex life of Jesus. You heard me right. Confirmed as real by many ads and reviews published around the time it purportedly came out. No prints known to exist.

The Brazilian Job - a sequel to the remake of The Italian Job. Was suppose to be released in 2007, but I don't hear anything about that movie anymore. Don't even know if they actually filmed it.
Rob Zombie's Tyrannosaurus Rex - was suppose to come out in 2009, but got pushed back in release date for Rob Zombie to make another Halloween movie. Haven't heard about it since, but I was looking forward to it since Rob Zombie kept promoting it on my film site I go to.
Night of the Demons - remake of the 1988 horror film starring American Pie's Shannon Elizabeth. Never came out, was suppose to be released on DVD last fall, but never hit the shelves.

Brazillian Job-Yeah, this is probably dead.
Rob Zombie's Tyrannosaurus Rex-Anything involving Rob Zombie and dinosaurs sounds awesome. Shame it never came out.
Night of the Demons-On Youtube with the original.

Re: Lost movies
Here are a few:
The Werewolf - The first werewolf film, but destroyed in a fire in 1924.
Convention City - A pre-Code film produced by First National-Warner Bros, the last lost feature by a major Hollywood studio and a risque and daring comedy for its time.
The Cat Creeps - Sound remake of The Cat and the Canary (1927). Short segment of The Cat Creeps included in short film Boo! (1932) is the only footage known to exist.
Bezhin Meadow - Unreleased Soviet film. The unfinished and unreleased film reels were destroyed during a World War II bombing raid in 1941.

Re: Lost movies
Here's a few more:
Freaks-This 1932 cult classic had 26 minutes cut that were never seen again.
King Dick-X-rated 80's French animated movie about a midget falling in love. Appears to have been lost to time.
The Naked Ape-1973 adaption of a book comparing humans to animals.
The Mountain Eagle-Early Hitchcock movie. Lost.
The Day The Clown Cried-"Comedy" about a clown at a concentration camp, from director Jerry Lewis. Lewis owns a tape of it, but refuses to release it. A few have seen it.
Day Of The Tiger-Ultraviolent 80's kung fu movie. After the audience at early screenings were horrified and offended, it disappeared.
Wizards-From adult animation extrodinare Ralph Bakshi. While definitely not lost, rumors of an X-rated cut with swearing and graphic violence have been floating around, with some people claiming to have seen it.
Hey Good Lookin'-Another Ralph Bakshi masterpiece. The original version was completed in 1975. After some executive meddling, a completely different version was released in 1982. Bakshi confirmed that he owns a copy of the original cut and says he'd love to release it.
King Kong Appears In Edo-A Japanese take of King Kong. also possibly the first kaiju movie. Prints are believed to have been lost during WWII.

Re: Lost movies
Land Before Time: Apparently once contained 11 more minutes of scenes that were too dark and scary for children. These scenes are presumed destroyed but animation cels are said to still exist.
All Dogs Go To Heaven: A scene where the dog gets run over and sees a vision of Hell was cut due to it' scary and somewhat graphic nature.
I would love to see these.

Re: Lost movies
More!
Metamorphosis-1975 Swedish adaption of Franz Kafka's literary masterpiece. No one knows what happened to it.
Casualties of War-1973 adaption of a New Yorker article about the rape and murder of a Vietnamese girl by American soldiers. Reportedly caused a ruckus when it was shown at the 1973 Venice Film Festival. Brian De Palma later remade it. He has stated that he tried tracking it down but could not find it.
The Primevals-A time travel epic from the other Roger Corman, Charles Band. Started in 1978, it has never been released.
You've Got To Talk It Like You Walk It Or You'll Loose That Beat-For lack of a better word, a porno Wes Craven was involved in. Apparently on VHS though no one's tracked down a copy.
Hu-Man-1975 film about a tv host who travels back and forth in time to entertain his audience. It was apparently critically acclaimed, but has since been lost to time.
Heaven Can Help-Cheesy 1989 horror flick. The director successfully pulled it off the market and it hasn't been since, apart from a trailer on Youtube that has since been removed.

Re: Lost movies
A few more:
Game in the Sand - a Werner Herzog documentary from 1964, involving four children and a rooster, that somehow “got out of hand.” Herzog has never elaborated on the nature of the problem, but it was apparently severe enough that he abandoned the project and has publicly vowed to never release it.
APT PUPIL - Bryan Singer's adaptation of Stephen King’s novella APT PUPIL. However, few are aware of this incomplete film of the material starring Rick Schroeder and Nicole Williamson, and directed by English filmmaker Alan Bridges. The shoot was three-fourths of the way complete when its makers ran out of money and called it off. Stephen King says he’s seen the footage cut together (and dubbed it “really good”), so clearly a rough cut exists--or, perhaps more accurately, existed.
The Dream of Hamish Mose - An unfinished 1971 film that didn’t materialize until recently, but it’s created a veritable stampede among cult movie buffs. Directed by actor Cameron Mitchell, who personally financed the project under the guidance of God himself (or so Mitchell claimed), it starred O.J. Simpson as a black Civil War soldier searching for a sacred burial ground.

HOLY SHIT SOMEONE FOUND HAMISH MOSE? NEED TO SEE IT, LIKE, NOW.
And Game in the Sand "getting out of hand" sounds suspicious.

Re: Lost movies
I can't believe that nobody has mentioned "The Birth of a Nation," D.W. Griffith's 1915 landmark film that was and is still very controversial to this day. The movie is not entirely lost, but there are so many different prints and cuts that are floating around the world, that no one is really sure just how long the original cut of the film is supposed to be. Even so, most experts agree that some footage has undoubtedly been lost to the ravages of time.

Re: Lost movies
Completely forgot about Cry Baby Lane, a one-off Nick TV-movie that aired once on Halloween 2000 but was pulled because of apparent angry parents concerned over it scaring the living shit out of their children. Nick has tried to deny it's existence and not release. Can't really blame 'em tho.
