What's New?
Currently.... SBC has hit over 500 members! This is great news for us, and hopefully we'll be getting to 600 members soon. Also, a brand new contest is going on. The first 5 users to find a golden ticket hidden somewhere on the forum, will get early access to v7! Congratulations to SOF who was the first person to find the ticket. Remember - use your heads! There are only 3 spots left. See the "Lost Temple" announcement on the homepage for more. Speaking of contests, don't forget to participate in our other contest to put a funny, original caption on an image. The winner will receive 1000 doubloons.
In the future... SBC will be moving to vBulletin on August 26th, 2011. This will also be the launch of v7. We had a good time on forumotion, but it is time for us to move. Stay tuned for more!Richest Users

Casey Anthony Trial
For those who are unaware, their has been an ongoing trial for a while about this mom, Casey Anthony, who was charged with killing her 2 year old child. She was bullshitting through her teeth during the whole court case. She wa found innocent and many people are thinking the jury is absolutely incorrect. I'm one of those people.

Re: Casey Anthony Trial
Nobody spoke up for the girl. It was politics this, politics that, and it pissed me off. Somebody DIED, and not just anybody; a 2 year old girl who won't grow up and get to go off and live her life.
HOWEVER... I do not believe they had any substantial evidence. This was life or death and you can't have any doubt.

Re: Casey Anthony Trial
I was just about to make the topic for this, asking who actually followed this.
I remember hearing about this the first week it happened those years ago on Nancy Grace. And I can't believe she was NOT guilty. I was expecting someone to pull out a gun and shoot her. Im serious.

Re: Casey Anthony Trial
I think the jury was totally correct in their decision personally. Innocent until proven guilty, and they didn't have the evidence needed to make a guilty verdict.

Re: Casey Anthony Trial
Here's the thing, though: they had evidence that she had went on her computer and searched for how to kill her.
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/11/26/national/main4635336.shtml
Seriously. Guilty. There might not be direct evidence to conclude that she had done it, but there are sure over 30 pieces of evidence that point directly to her!

I never actually watched the case, but I read enough news updates/articles about the case to learn that she was guilty in my eyes. I don't see how the jury found her innocent.

Re: Casey Anthony Trial
She has to be guilty. Not only did Casey neglect her child, but she has shown little concern for her daughter's welfare and didn't even file a missing person report. Even if she's not guilty of murder, she's already guilty of something: not taking care of her only child.

Even though that looks bad on her part, that doesn't prove she actually killed her. (And like 70s said in his post, the searches were proven false.)
She can't be gulity if they couldn't conclude that she actually killed Caylee. I said this on another forum, and i'll say it again here:
"Just because they were able to prove she was a liar and a bad mother doesn't automatically make her a murderer. (If that were the case, then every person who's ever lied in their life must be a murderer.) No matter what any of us think, there really wasn't enough evidence in this case....there may have been enough evidence to find her guilty of more than just lying, but definitely not enough to give her the death penalty. Besides, if she was given the death penalty, HOW would that be "justice for Caylee?" "An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind"....apparently, the message still hasn't sunk into people's minds.
It seems like almost everybody just listened to what the media was saying and didn't actually see any of the actual trial except for the jury's verdict at the end....because everybody knows the media isn't full of a bunch of biased dumbasses."
At the end of the day, no matter how much people may complain, the jury has already made their decision.

Re: Casey Anthony Trial
About the internet searches, they were proven false during the trial so are not evidence of the murder.
Everything else I cannot comment on but I assume it just wasn't incriminating enough to come up with a guilty verdict for.

Well, it's always been a habit of me saying "bro" or "brah", but turning it into a personal nickname, like BroMJ, or Brogiiin, bromaster, brosnake, etc.Clappy wrote:I know I have.ExKizuna wrote:Complete stranger? Re: Casey Anthony Trial
Personally, I blame the rap music. She probably heard that rap/song by Lil Wayne, called "Go kill your daughter, just make sure a big trial is started in 2011 so noone forgets about you" I think it's a long title, but fits the situation.Clappy wrote:Oh yeah all this Pokemon talk isn't right in a topic about some serious news.
