Main Rules

These rules are obvious, so I don't feel I need to say them, but I will anyway.

• Yes, cussing is allowed. But words like gay, cocksucker, faggot, retard, nigger (No offense intended) will not be tolerated. These words can be greatly offensive to some users here. It is acceptable in spin-offs, but it would have to be portrayed as a horrible thing to say in the spin-off and a warning must be given at the top of the episode before presenting such content. There is to be NO Swearing in any of the SpongeBob Forums however.

• * No spamming

• The Staff (Managers, Cashiers and Fry Cooks) = More powerful than you. So be good, or be punished.

• Do not constantly beg to be in a higher member group or everybody will get annoyed.

• Only double-post when relevant. See [Only admins are allowed to see this link] for exceptions.

• No one or two word posts, unless it is some short response or for a game.

• No insulting the Staff. Save your complaints for the [Only admins are allowed to see this link] Thread.

• We don't care if you are underage. We care about how mature you are.

• Absolutely no bullying or threats

• No quoting other people's post and JUST posting that. It is acceptable in games though.

• From now on, only 2 pictures are allowed in a signature. If there are any more than that, they must be in a spoiler tag. There are exceptions, of course. For example, if your signature is made up of avatars.

• Usernames are no longer allowed to be changed. If you want to change them, it will cost 2,000 Doubloons, and you will have to PM an admin to do it for you. However, you can do it when we have a new Stop What You Are Doing as well. Note that Good Noodles can have free name changes.

• Be nice to new members. Give them a chance. Noob or not, they're still a member of this site. Everyone's a noob at some point.

• No Multiple Accounts (we can tell from your IP). If you are ever having trouble accessing SBC, do not make a new account. Just go to Xat and PC an Admin for help (come back later if there isn’t one). There are exceptions though, such as if you have a brother/sister, husband/wife or roommate who uses the same computer as you.

• No fighting with other members. If a fight starts, we will notify the users involved to take it to PMs and failing to comply will result in a hefty doubloon fining. First strike, 500 doubloons. Second strike, 1000 doubloons. Third strike, three day suspension. Possible fourth strike? One week suspension. Keeps getting larger if fighting continues.

• No pornographic links in any of the forums.

Red are more serious than orange. If it's orange you get two warnings, then are punished the third time. On red, you're just punished, right off the bat. With green, it's behavior expected from you, but may eventually result in punishment if it persists.

By punishment, what is implied?

After the two orange warnings, if you break the rules again, you get a two-day ban, and that also applies if you make a violation of a red rule. If you break the rules (orange or red) after that, it's a three-day ban, then once more, a two-week ban, and again... a permanent ban.


Also, you will now be fined doubloons for breaking any of the rules above as well.

I just feel the need to add this rule:

-NO double posting. If you need to add something to one of your posts, then edit the post, there's a clear edit button on the top of every single one of your posts, so if you need to elaborate further, edit.

These are the ONLY exceptions:
-If it's an episode of your spin-off, and you're posting the next episode in the next post
-If it's some sort of game where you're permitted to double-post

That's pretty much the only exceptions I can think of for you guys.

I also feel the need to point out the rule where you MUST elaborate on posts, and not just post phrases. If you're not actually going to post your opinions, then don't post. It's that simple.

I just thought I should do this but I'm assuming 70s forgot. You can also double post in your art collection/gallery. Picture after picture is alright.

Just so everyone knows, to prevent spamming, we have a special feature called Flood Control. This is put on whenever a large mass of posts come in. It may be spamming, or it may be a lot of activeness. But just so you guys know, we have Flood Control. I know we had a brush with an enormous troll....named Whaleblubber.
