What's New?
Currently.... SBC has hit over 500 members! This is great news for us, and hopefully we'll be getting to 600 members soon. Also, a brand new contest is going on. The first 5 users to find a golden ticket hidden somewhere on the forum, will get early access to v7! Congratulations to SOF who was the first person to find the ticket. Remember - use your heads! There are only 3 spots left. See the "Lost Temple" announcement on the homepage for more. Speaking of contests, don't forget to participate in our other contest to put a funny, original caption on an image. The winner will receive 1000 doubloons.
In the future... SBC will be moving to vBulletin on August 26th, 2011. This will also be the launch of v7. We had a good time on forumotion, but it is time for us to move. Stay tuned for more!Richest Users

Epic Mickey
Anyone else besides me heard of this game yet? I have, and I'm really excited. I mean sure, today Disney is a raging corporate monster who doesn't care at all about people who like cartoons, but I love Mickey Mouse. Not as much as I love Kermit, but I love Mickey Mouse. If you haven't heard of it, I'll upload a scan I have of it from Nintendo Power.
Re: Epic Mickey
It looks really cool, and pretty interesting. I'll definitly check it out

Next to the new Muppet movie that's hitting theaters in 2011, I think Epic Mickey is gonna be one of the greatest things I'll ever see.

You realise we're talking about Mickey Mouse here?

What? Something wrong with what I said? I just said I'm really looking forward to Epic Mickey. And yes, I know we were talking about Mickey Mouse, I was just saying that I'm really excited for both of these things. More so Epic Mickey than the other thing. This is why I never get along with people very well... sheesh... ANYWAY, I just read a review for Epic Mickey in the latest Nintendo Power, and from what I hear the gameplay is FANTASTIC.

Oh, sorry. I'm just not used to having guys on a forum, considering the SpongeBobxSandy proboards forum is mostly made up of girls.

Well, yeah, I respect your opinion Deli, don't worry.
Re: Epic Mickey
Good. I didn't want to make anyone mad or start a fight. I hate conflict. Anywho, I heard this game is going to somewhat go along the lines of Kingdom Hearts. Like I said, it's probably not true, but that would be cool. I've never played KH, but my brother and his friend played it and I watched. Pretty good. Hope we see some classic Disney characters make cameos in Epic Mickey.

Eh, I don't mind. Not everyone likes Kermit. I know a lot of people who says he's ''just a manipulating bastard with a man's hand up his ass.'' But whatever. I respect your opinion. XD

Kermit's ok, but I honestly haven't watched The Muppets in years, so I don't really remember him

I remember a lot of times when I saw Kermit... sure back then, I thought he was stupid and Elmo was kickass, but we all learn from our mistakes...
Anywho, sorry for making everyone stray away from the topic.

Re: Epic Mickey
This game looks like it's going to be my favorite video game ever. I love classic Disney and I can already tell from previews, reviews, pics, etc. that this game will stay true to it. The concept is amazing and I'm thrilled to see some forgotten characters. Now all I need is a Wii...
Re: Epic Mickey
One of your favorite games ever Cartoon? You seriously need to play more video games my friend . Epic Mickey looks interesting and it wouldn't surprise me if its good, but it will never reach the levels of Kingdom Hearts epicness when it comes to Disney based video games

Re: Epic Mickey
While I do need to play more video games, this game is right up my alley since I'm a massive classic Disney fan. And I did love Kingdom Hearts, but I still think I'll like Epic Mickey better since it's pure Disney and no Final Fantasy.
Re: Epic Mickey
Just got some info from Nintendo Power's September issue. The game is centered around a pretty good plot. Here's my summary:
You guys remember Yen Sid, from Fantasia, right? Well, he tried to create a world for forgotten cartoons. But good old mischevious Mickey Mouse waltzes in an accidently screws it up while Yen Sid is off somewhere else in his castle. The world is turned into a total wasteland, and Mickey is sucked right into it... literally. Armed with his magic paintbrush, Mickey tangles with robot-like creatures based off of the vultures from the Jungle Book (called Thumper Beetleworx) and cornerstone villains such as the Mad Doctor (forgotten character from a nineteen thirties Mickey Mouse cartoon) and the Phantom Blot (yet another forgotten character, but from the forties or fifties... he also made a few appearances in the House of Mouse, if my memory serves me right) and the original character chosen to headline Disney before Mickey was even a thought, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit.

Re: Epic Mickey
I've got to admit, I'm pretty pumped up for this game! Un-like a bunch of the cheap-ass games Disney Interactive Studios makes, this game should be a step up.

Re: Epic Mickey
I'll admit I actually enjoy this game alot since I got it for christmas. My only complaint is that the fucking camera can screw up in tight spaces, which can make platforming slightly harder. But otherwise it's nice.

I got the collectors edition for Christmas, and it's really fun besides the fact the game is really slow-paced with all the dialogue.

And the fucking camera at times, although it's supposed to be more story-based, so it's natural to have a shitload of dialouge in it.

I know but it's annoying when it goes:
"Would you like to enter the room?"
"Would you like to exit the room?"
And if you could pace through dialogue quicker by clicking A on the Wii Remote. Other than that, awesome game!
As for the Camera, while it can get pretty damn annoying at times, I don't have a problem with it.

Re: Epic Mickey
I really enjoyed this game. Plus I really liked the ending (good ending that is, haven't beaten the bad ending yet) and the story itself is entertaining. I just wished they had used actual voice acting in the game instead of just mumbling and subtitles.
I also came to really like Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. His bitterness abut his younger brother's fame makes him an interesting character as well as his backstory in the game.

Re: Epic Mickey
Yeah, the voice acting was pathetic in this game. IGN mentioned it in their review.NegiSpongie wrote:I really enjoyed this game.
