Spongebob Gone Downhill?

Something a lot of people say, a lot of people ask. The Post-movie episodes are as good as I expected.

Some are bad, but others I don't see a problem with.

I think that it has most definitely gone downhill, unfortunately. I can still watch it sometimes though.

I support this side of the debate The Season 4+ eps are for the most part, endurable

Pretty much yeah, but there are several post-movie episodes I enjoy

Yeah, the episodes aren't very good anymore.

S1 S2 and S3= excelllent episodes S4 S5 very good episodes= S6 and S7 bad.

Yes - It is still watchable and could be a lot worse compared to most of the animated crap Nickelodeon has put on lately

No - S1-3 are better, jokes have gotten more juvenile, overstretched moments just to kill time, etc.

I honestly have not watched the show as much as I use to because the new episodes are just extremely boring. The only reason I tune into Nickelodeon anymore are for three shows (and yes I am ready to take some heat for one of the shows )

iCarly - has gotten a hell of a lot better after a somewhat disappointing second season
Victorious - call me a sucker for anything Dan Schneider made (except Zoey 101)
Big Time Rush - (ducks) sorry, but this show reminds me more and more of Ned's Declassified due to it being made by the same people. yes, it was made to counter the jonas brothers, but i actually laugh a lot during this show

This is all I have to say.

1-3 are brilliant, 4 has some amazing episodes mixed with crap, 5 was also hit and miss, 6 impoved it slightly, but not that much, 7 started great and i think got worse. Haven't seen enough of 8 yet though.

And I've started watching Tunnel of Glove. I've already LOL'd multiple times in the first minute.

Yes it did, it premiered on June 19th with the episode "Enchanted Tiki Dreams"

They just haven't aired the remaining S7 episodes.

That Sinking Feeling, Karate Star, You Don't Know Sponge, Hide and Then What Happens, Shellback Shenanigans, and Tunnel of Glove are also from season 8.

S8 is making SpongeBob go back up I think.

You Don't Know Sponge was meh but other than that it's been great. I need to watch Tunnel of Glove and that episode name I'm too lazy to look up.

I think it's nearly gone past way down hill. The jokes are getting more childish and I can't STAND SpongeBob's super duper high voice now. I miss how Tom Kenny did his voice in seasons 1-4. And the fact that Sandy is barely seen in any episodes anymore.

The old episodes are way better then the new episodes and is really going downhill , SpongeBob Meets the Strangler,The Camping Episode,I Had an Accident, Frankendoodle which were excellent episodes , i think in the new episodes they should bring back the strangler that threatens spongebob again , i think Spongebob Patrick and Squidward should have another camping and bring back the sea bear so the sea bear will attack Squidward again , i think they should bring back the gorilla so he can mess around with spongebob and etc, i think they should bring back doodlebob back so it can mess around in the bikini bottom and threaten spongebob again , all these old episodes i have just mention , should bring back those old characters back to the new episodes cuz then spongebob will proboly be uphill again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, recycling old plots would make it good again?

NO, NO, and NO!!! Why would you want them to ruin the classic episodes?

I don't want to recycle the old plots , i just want to make those episodes into part 2 ......

But if they did do that, it could only be for a few episodes. Then we'd be back to the current slop.

well i hope they will do those episodes and it i hope they wont be back to the current slop they need to keep the episodes classic like what i said from those episodes from above to keep it excellent........

Well, SpongeBob has lost the zaniness and bouncy humor it had in the first four seasons. Now its made up of disturbing facial expressions and Squid-stalking. I really don't think that the writers are following the original SpongeBob formula. This is just my opinion.

I have an opinion as well, the recurrent chatacters and plots can get annoying, I but still love it, and I think it has gone downhill only a little bit.
