What's New?
Currently.... SBC has hit over 500 members! This is great news for us, and hopefully we'll be getting to 600 members soon. Also, a brand new contest is going on. The first 5 users to find a golden ticket hidden somewhere on the forum, will get early access to v7! Congratulations to SOF who was the first person to find the ticket. Remember - use your heads! There are only 3 spots left. See the "Lost Temple" announcement on the homepage for more. Speaking of contests, don't forget to participate in our other contest to put a funny, original caption on an image. The winner will receive 1000 doubloons.
In the future... SBC will be moving to vBulletin on August 26th, 2011. This will also be the launch of v7. We had a good time on forumotion, but it is time for us to move. Stay tuned for more!Richest Users

After watching that trailer, I think I'm going to go watch the old cartoons and try to remember why I liked these chipmunks before 20th Century Fox put their hands on them.

No. A thousand times no. I will only watch this if they die of malaria or they get sacrificed to the volcano.

I actually kind of like these movies. I say I won't see it, but I ended up seeing the last two and they weren't GOOD, but I enjoyed them and I'll probably end up seeing this one too so oh well.

The philosophy of cinema today, milk a movie series until it stops making the studios money.OMJ wrote:Wow, they're being milked for all their worth.

I feel the same way too, only because my siblings really enjoy the movies, and whenever they put them on, I end up watching them. The only thing I really like about the movies are the songs, especially the ones by the Chipettes.tvguy347 wrote:I actually kind of like these movies. lol me too. xD I love hearing covers of songs in their little chipmunk voices. Call me weird, but I do.

That trailer is terrible, It reveals absolutely nothing about the plot (You could argue by saying "Yeah but that makes you want to watch it and find out what happens" but no, it really doesn't, it just comes across as a rip on the Titanic)

Re: Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chip-wrecked
That's because it was only supposed to be a "teaser" trailer, and aren't really supposed to reveal anything about the plot of the movie. So that explains why it wasn't good.Sabre wrote:That trailer is terrible, It reveals absolutely nothing about the plot (You could argue by saying "Yeah but that makes you want to watch it and find out what happens" but no, it really doesn't, it just comes across as a rip on the Titanic)
Re: Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chip-wrecked
At least the movie has a name that's marginally better than, "The Squeakquel." The original code-name for this movie was going to be called "Alvin and the Chipmunks: the Tree-quel," because it was the third sequel, and Chipmunks live in trees. I actually liked the first movie, and I thought the second movie wasn't going to be any good until I saw it on TV and I actually enjoyed it as well. So with that in mind, I am going to see this "Chipmunk" movie as well, just to see how it plays out.
