Ok, so I just watched parts 1 and 2 of the first episode..and I was glued to the damn screen all 45 minutes xD
It's a really cute and funny show. I love the animation. I like that they're not doing stereotypical "My Little Pony" stuff too. I still don't get the obsession..but I guess I'll keep watching now and find out o.o

Well, you guys convinced me enough to watch the first three episodes of this show. I gotta admit, the show rather touched a side of me I thought I didn't have: a taste for girly-themed shows with creative plots and good humor. I guess there's nothing else I can do now but watch more episodes!

I started watching some more of it and I really didn't react all that much. The animation and plot are nice and I like the fact that it's girl-empowering, but that's really most of what I like about it. The fandom for this show is really sick though. There's too much porn and bad fan-fiction. Plus, there are also these reaaaally creepy fans who are over 30 (no offense to anyone here who is a fan and over 30, cuz I know you guys never take it that far) who ''get off'' on this show. I'd enjoy it a little more if some of the fan community wasn't so freaking creepy.

Yes, there are always going to be a few perverted followers out there no matter what show you're talking about. However, the majority of bronies watch the show for the humor/plots, not because they find the ponies attractive. Cool

I find it really hard to explain. I never watched the other My Little Pony so it will be difficult for me. But this show has great humor, universal themes, and some pretty great animation as well. It's just really fun to watch. Honestly, I know this isn't the thing you're looking for, but to find out it really is best just to watch. You won't fully understand until then.

I've never seen the original My Little Pony shows, but from what I heard, they were very corny. In fact, the creator of Friendship is Magic said she was disappointed as a kid watching those shows because they were too girly and weren't like the stories she imagined while playing with her MLP dolls.

Yeah, the ones with wings are Pegasus, the ones with horns are unicorns, and the other regular ones are ponies.
