What's New?
Currently.... SBC has hit over 500 members! This is great news for us, and hopefully we'll be getting to 600 members soon. Also, a brand new contest is going on. The first 5 users to find a golden ticket hidden somewhere on the forum, will get early access to v7! Congratulations to SOF who was the first person to find the ticket. Remember - use your heads! There are only 3 spots left. See the "Lost Temple" announcement on the homepage for more. Speaking of contests, don't forget to participate in our other contest to put a funny, original caption on an image. The winner will receive 1000 doubloons.
In the future... SBC will be moving to vBulletin on August 26th, 2011. This will also be the launch of v7. We had a good time on forumotion, but it is time for us to move. Stay tuned for more!Richest Users

Next Generation Portable (NGP)
The PSP was supposed to achieve a Play Station in your pocket. It didn't. But Sony announced the much anticipated "PSP2" but the name was of course NGP. The new console has everything (except an AMOLED display) that was circulating. Coming with 3G, WiFi, and a touchscreen, the new handheld console doesn't seem to disappoint Sony fanatics. The NGP flashes two analog sticks, so there will finally be true FPS gaming on the device. It has a larger screen than the PSP 3000 at 5 inches measured diagonally. This results in a little more bulkiness. There isn't a price tag or release date yet.

I'm waiting for the gaming console that fits in between the threads of one's jeans.

So, the recently announced the Playstation Vita or whatever it's called. That should bump this up.

I'll probably get it, being the big videogame afficionado I am.

Re: Next Generation Portable (NGP)
Never owned a PSP and never felt the urge to get one. The same will probably apply to this next gen version as well.

Re: Next Generation Portable (NGP)
The NGP got renamed to Vita. I got impressed when I saw the graphics, its basically a portable PS3 with some additions. I might get to play to one next time I go to a convention.
Re: Next Generation Portable (NGP)
I heard an Uncharted game is in the works for it. Sounds pretty damn cherry.

Re: Next Generation Portable (NGP)
Uncharted always had one of the best graphics on the PS3, Sony said that the potential will likely be like in consoles rather than a different tech. The Vita has touch screens, although we will have to see if it manages to improve what Nintendo did with the DS.
Re: Next Generation Portable (NGP)
I wonder how the owners of the PSP go feel about this.

Re: Next Generation Portable (NGP)
Same is for the DSi owners about the 3DS. The PSP Go was a new version of the PSP rather than a new console. If DSi owners feel comfortable with the 3DS I can't see why PSP Go owners would not like the Vita.
