Tron: Legacy

As a fan of the original Tron, I am kinda intrigued about the prospects of the sequel.
I think the story sounds good, the CGI looks amazing, and Olivia Wilde is sexy.

It's been a mix of reviews from critics and fans. It's 50 to 50 with people and critics. Either like it or you don't.

I am still going to go see it but the words "Special Effects Extravaganza" does not sell if it doesn't have a good story to go along with it. The story for Tron Legacy sounds good, but I need to see it to believe good

Um... Sam Flynn was hot, and Quorra (sp?) was hot as well. The special effects were good.
The practically nonexistent story was hard to follow. Sam, Quorra, and Kevin were trying to get out of some grid or something. There was a guy named Clu who was like a younger version of Kevin.... They did a terrible job explaining it. It was mostly special effects with no story, then they tried to pull off sentimentality and fell flat on their faces.

Haven't seen it yet, but I've heard from others that it was a confusing movie. I'll probably see Tron Legacy when it goes to Redbox so I can have plenty of time to watch the original Tron. My schedule is unusually busy right now. :/

I think the reason that the flashbacks might have been confusing to some people is if they didn't watch the original "Tron." There were no flashbacks in "Tron Legacies" that featured ANY footage from the original "Tron." The events of the movie "Tron" all took place in 1982; everything in "Tron Legacies" took place AFTER 1982; and personally, I think the story-writers did a pretty good job of explaining everything that happened within this movie.

Wow, you couldn't be more wrong. My roommate has a burned copy of the movie and we watched it last night. Good lord did that movie have some of the worst dialogue I have ever heard. Seriously, Avatar's dialogue was better than Tron: Legacy's and that's saying something. Btw, yes I saw the original Tron and they should have just left the movie alone. This sequel is one of the most disappointing movies I have ever seen
