What's New?
Currently.... SBC has hit over 500 members! This is great news for us, and hopefully we'll be getting to 600 members soon. Also, a brand new contest is going on. The first 5 users to find a golden ticket hidden somewhere on the forum, will get early access to v7! Congratulations to SOF who was the first person to find the ticket. Remember - use your heads! There are only 3 spots left. See the "Lost Temple" announcement on the homepage for more. Speaking of contests, don't forget to participate in our other contest to put a funny, original caption on an image. The winner will receive 1000 doubloons.
In the future... SBC will be moving to vBulletin on August 26th, 2011. This will also be the launch of v7. We had a good time on forumotion, but it is time for us to move. Stay tuned for more!Richest Users

Songs that bring tears to your eyes
Anyone have any songs that bring tears to your eyes? I'm not sure I phrased that correctly. XD
For me, it's the Rainbow Connection or Bein' Green. Of course, you all know these are Muppet songs, but Muppets make me so happy. I don't know why. Both of these songs are really beautiful, and not just because they're sung by Kermit. They remind me of so many happy things, and so many sad things.
Bein' Green reminds me of when Big Bird sang it at Jim Henson's memorial service, which really brought tears to my eyes. Especially when Big Bird looked up to the sky and said ''Thank you, Kermit.'' I remember how humming this song all the time got me through last school year when everyone accused me of being a lesbian and an emo. The song cheered me up every lonely day in the bleachers. I guess that's another reason why Muppets make me so happy. :3
The Rainbow Connection however, is indescribable. I just get so hyped up and happy inside whenever I hear it. It's like one of those moments where you feel your face heat up and tears streak down slowly. But you're crying while you're smiling.
If you've never heard it, then take a look at the lyrics:
Why are there so many
Songs about rainbows
And what's on the other side
Rainbow's are visions
They're only illusions
And rainbows have nothing to hide
So we've been told and some chose to
Believe it
But I know they're wrong wait and see
Someday we'll find it
The Rainbow Connection
The lovers, the dreamers and me
Who said that every wish
Would be heard and answered
When wished on the morning star
Somebody thought of that
And someone believed it
And look what it's done so far
What's so amazing
That keeps us star gazing
What so we think we might see
Someday we'll find it
That Rainbow Connection
The lovers the dreamers and me
Have you been half asleep
And have you heard voices
I've heard them calling my name
Are these the sweet sounds that called
The young sailors
I think they're one and the same
I've heard it too many times to ignore it
There's something that I'm supposed to be
Someday we'll find it
The Rainbow Connection
The lovers, the dreamers and me
Beautiful, right? ^w^
Sorry about all the sappiness. XD
Anyway, what about you guys?

My Heart Will Go On by Celine Dion.
It's the only song that comes close to bring me to tears.

Re: Songs that bring tears to your eyes
The "Garfield And Friends" Theme Song (Seasons 1&2) purely because of the happy memories it brings back.

I can't think of a single song tbh. I can cry when it comes to movies, but I can't cry during songs. I don't know why

Another song that makes me cry is ''Sad Song'' by Paul Williams. It makes me cry every time I hear it.

I just remembered two more,
Drops of Jupiter by Train
Teardrops on My Guitar by Taylor Swift... it makes me think of Sam.

Re: Songs that bring tears to your eyes
Mad World by Gary Jules and something Andrews. Really really sad. Shame I can't remember one of the singers first names.
Re: Songs that bring tears to your eyes
The Sesame Street theme brings tears to my eyes too. But not the one where it has Elmo and that pink fairy chick dancing around. I mean the original one. It always reminds me of happier times. So does another Sesame Street song called ''This Frog''. It was one of the very last times Jim Henson had performed Kermit before his death. It's a fairly happy song, but it just makes me cry for some reason.
Sorry, I'm a big Sesame Street nerd. XD

Oh, you should hear the Joshua Radin cover of the Sesame Street theme. It's great.Deli wrote:The Sesame Street theme brings tears to my eyes too. Really? Hm, I'll check that out. I'll see if they have it on YouTube.
Re: Songs that bring tears to your eyes
This is a bit of a bump, but I'd also like to say, a lot of songs by Nina Simone make me cry.
They're just beautiful. No autotune. No over the top music video. Even when she sings about sex it isn't really OTT like it is these days. I just love her. If you haven't heard of her...just google her.
