Rock Band franchise

So... yeah. My favourite game at the moment.

Anyone else play Rock Band or any other games in that franchise?

Ive played rock band, its fun. Did you know there is Spongebob songs on rockband? :O

Rock Band, Rock Band 2, Beatles Rock Band, Lego Rock Band, Guitar Hero, Guitar Hero 2, Guitar Hero 3, Guitar Hero 4, Guitar Hero 5, DJ Hero, Band Hero, Guitar Hero: Metallica, Guitar Hero: Van Halen... And any others I missed, can go rot in a hole. They're all horrible games that teach kids they THINK they can play an instrument or sing, when really, all they're doing is pressing buttons or changing the pitch of their voice. It also makes kids learn of GOOD bands in a BAD way. Example; "Hey, do you listen to Foo Fighters?" "OMG!!! THEY'RE ON GUITAR HERO 2!!! I LOOOOOVE MONKEY WRENCH!!!!" "...Any other songs? -.-" "YEAH!!! LEARN TO FLY!!! IT'S ON ROCK BAND, I LOOOOOOOVE IT!!!" "And do you like any OTHER songs by them?" "Nah, just those two, cause I can play them. Wait- they have other songs?"

I don't think I've ever agreed with a post as much as I agree with this one...

In all seriousness though, I agree that there are a lot of idiots out there who belive they're ready for a band when they've mastered one of those games.

Then there's people like me, who play the games for fun.

I can't wait for Rock Band 3! Also, I got all the achievements in Rock Band 2. I love the Rock Band series, but the Guitar Hero series just went downhill after World Tour. There are way too many games!

Yeah I agree.

Though I will say, I give Guitar Hero props for it's character Creator. It is a good creator and is fun to mess around with.

I hated the lead singer in GH3, just for the record. He looked like a puppet.

Okay, I like this franchise now, but just because I FUCKING WANT THE BEATLES: ROCK BAND!

Beatles is a great game, and it's worth the $20-$30 it now sells for.

I've been playing quite a bit of Guitar Hero. I'm not one of those die-hard players, but I play it to pass the time.

It would cost more than that for me, I thought, since I need the drums, the guitar, etc.

Used to love them, but after a while they get boring. It's a fad that's slowly fading away

I agree, I don't even hear people talk about this game anymore.

I like going on super slow and jamming. Nuff said.

Not a big fan of Rock Band/G-Hero. I played GH2 and... I hated it.

Yeah the fad is slowly dying

I blame Activision due to them coming out with what felt like a billion music games last year. They are the ones that killed this genre, not Harmonix

Otherwise, Rock Band > Guitar Hero

It started with Guitar Hero. Guitar Hero was HUGE, and made over 10 games in 1 year. In 2010, they've had 1 game come out. Guitar Hero is dying. Now Rockband is making a shit-load of games. It started with Rockband. Then game Rockband 2. Then Rockband Beatles. Then Rockband Green Day. Now Rockband 3. Although Rockband 3 lets you play with real guitars. I don't see why you couldn't just take actual Guitar lessons though or learn real Guitar.
