Community Spotlight for August 2011 is...

We've hit 500 members!SBC News
What's New?
Currently.... SBC has hit over 500 members! This is great news for us, and hopefully we'll be getting to 600 members soon. Also, a brand new contest is going on. The first 5 users to find a golden ticket hidden somewhere on the forum, will get early access to v7! Congratulations to SOF who was the first person to find the ticket. Remember - use your heads! There are only 3 spots left. See the "Lost Temple" announcement on the homepage for more. Speaking of contests, don't forget to participate in our other contest to put a funny, original caption on an image. The winner will receive 1000 doubloons.
In the future... SBC will be moving to vBulletin on August 26th, 2011. This will also be the launch of v7. We had a good time on forumotion, but it is time for us to move. Stay tuned for more!Richest Users

your avater kinda reminds me of Grim Reaper from Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, but it's shame the show isn't on CN anymore but at least we got Courage the Cowardly Dog just in time for Halloween!
He meant that it stopped airing new episodes, not that it didn't show reruns anymore.

Well I be having a good time here now and on youtube and Facebook. The question remains on what to talk about here now. Surf's up. I've been to the Sana Monica pier in California three times in my life so far.

Re: Off-Topic!
I'm surprised there hasn't been any discussion here about it, but has anyone been watching the rescue of the Chilean miners? They've just completed bringing all 33 of them up to the surface and it was remarkable to watch on live TV. I can't believe all of them have survived being stuck half a mile underground for two months.

I honestly didn't know about it, but that's pretty incredible that some of them survived.

Re: Off-Topic!
No, all of them survived and were successfully rescued. I've heard about that too. I saw the ad for it on Yahoo, and saw it say that all 33 miners were rescued. Hey this means fortunately there can be happy endings sometimes. The miners were trapped underground for 69 days to be exact. The mystery is how they were all able to survive for that long, they must have had emergency food and water supplies.Firion_525 wrote:SpongeSebastian wrote:I'm surprised there hasn't been any discussion here about it, but has anyone been watching the rescue of the Chilean miners?
