What's New?
Currently.... SBC has hit over 500 members! This is great news for us, and hopefully we'll be getting to 600 members soon. Also, a brand new contest is going on. The first 5 users to find a golden ticket hidden somewhere on the forum, will get early access to v7! Congratulations to SOF who was the first person to find the ticket. Remember - use your heads! There are only 3 spots left. See the "Lost Temple" announcement on the homepage for more. Speaking of contests, don't forget to participate in our other contest to put a funny, original caption on an image. The winner will receive 1000 doubloons.
In the future... SBC will be moving to vBulletin on August 26th, 2011. This will also be the launch of v7. We had a good time on forumotion, but it is time for us to move. Stay tuned for more!Richest Users

Alcohol
Well let's see we have plenty of controversial topics here, but I didn't see one for alcohol surprisingly, unless I am missing something.......
Anyway, my question to all of you is, should the drinking age be lowered? Why or why not?

Re: Alcohol
I saw on the news about a baby at Applebees who got drunk when they accidentally served him a margarita instead of juice. o.o He was saying hi and bye to the wall, and then rested his head on the table. They thought he was just "sleepy." Seriously? How do you serve a toddler a margarita by mistake?
The little kid was also legally drunk. So yeah. I do think the current laws on having to be 21 to drink are fine.

^
I heard that story and that was such a horrible incident and I hope Applebee's takes it upon themselves to at least issue an apology.
As for the drinking age, I agree that it should remain 21, but the problem is that people under the age have found ways to cheat the system. Almost everyone has probably drank alcohol before turning the legal age.

Ah yes, I heard about that on CNN the other day. I hope the kids okay. I dont think the drinking age should be lowered cause alcohol can be more dangerous than cigarettes, at least that's what I heard.tvguy347 wrote:I saw on the news about a baby at Applebees who got drunk when they accidentally served him a margarita instead of juice. o.o He was saying hi and bye to the wall, and then rested his head on the table. Re: Alcohol
Funny thing. I just learned in a recent study in class today that cigarettes cause more deaths per year than alcohol. I still agree that the drinking age doesn't need to be lowered.Uncle_Dolan wrote:Ah yes, I heard about that on CNN the other day. I hope the kids okay.
