Spin Off Creativity Tips.

Because I felt I needed too.
1. Make your story something INTRESTING. Not just Patrick or some other character living on there own or shit. I admit, I did this, but, I tried to make every character very well developed and things. If you want creativity, look at Les Indices, FuturDrama (shameless self promotion =3), Pisces Moon, and Spongecraft. All very intresting story and plots that they use.
2. CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT. Don't just have your character go random places an do random shit, but don't have them progress in development. Having a random character do whatever isn't good. Even if you give them a personality, USE IT. I've saw to many spinoffs give the character a personality and they don't use it. Let me take notes here, Jack from UNITE! and Octi. Jack is a backstabber. Nice at first, gains your trust, and then attacks. While, with Octi, he doesn't care who you are, he'll still be all sarcastic and mean to you.
3. IF YOUR GONNA MAKE YOUR SHOW BASED OFF OF SOMETHING, DON'T MAKE IT SO ALIKE. Granted, you want it to be somewhat alike. But, sometimes, the spinoff strays far from ORIGINALITY to just copying the thing there taking from. For example, Total Cartoon Island. It got to the point where one of the episodes was just a TDI episode with the cartoon characters. If you want your spinoff to be based off of something, make it original.

Also, don't make shows carbon-copies of actual shows on Fox, TBS, Oxygen, ABC, and other channels with Sponbebob characters. Like Dragiin said, they should be original otherwise, why bother?
Also, make it ABOUT SPONGBOB. There are several spin offs which aren't even remotely about Spongebob.

4. It's rather suited that you don't make spinoffs in dialouge form. Why? Because, it comes out sloppy. Heres an example.Octi:JO MY GAWD SPARTA YOURE FROM THE FUTURE AREN'T YOU?!Here, a quote or two is fine, but don't go sloppy on us.
