SBC News
What's New? Currently.... SBC has hit over 500 members! This is great news for us, and hopefully we'll be getting to 600 members soon. Also, a brand new contest is going on. The first 5 users to find a golden ticket hidden somewhere on the forum, will get early access to v7! Congratulations to SOF who was the first person to find the ticket. Remember - use your heads! There are only 3 spots left. See the "Lost Temple" announcement on the homepage for more. Speaking of contests, don't forget to participate in our other contest to put a funny, original caption on an image. The winner will receive 1000 doubloons. In the future... SBC will be moving to vBulletin on August 26th, 2011. This will also be the launch of v7. We had a good time on forumotion, but it is time for us to move. Stay tuned for more!

Stephen was the best; as a creator and a writer. I haven't gotten the slightest clue why he decided suddenly leave the show right after the movie. 🇳🇴

I think it was because he thought after a movie, the show could go no farther. He was wrong.

But without him, 95% of the episodes aren't very good now. Indifferent

Sometimes I have a feeling that even with Hillenburg, the show still wouldn't be the same.

Brittany: Well, family is a place where everybody loves you no matter what. And they accept you for who you are. I know I'm going to be a bridesmaid at Mike and Tina's wedding. And I'm going to be anxiously waiting just like everybody else to see if their babies are Asian too. When they find an operation to make Artie's legs work again, I'm going to be there for his first steps. I love them, I love everyone in glee club and I get to spend another year with the people I love. So, I'm good.
Santana: What about you and I?
Brittany: I love you Santana. I love you more than I've ever loved anyone else in this world. All I know about you and I is that because of that, I think anything's possible.
Santana: When did you get so smart?

He's basically saying that Mr. Hillenburg couldn't have left the show because he would cancel it if he did.

Wrong.

Well, on topic, I believe Stephen was a great creator and animator, with Spongebob being his greatest accomplishment. I really wish he hadn't left after the movie, so he could have made more classic episodes Sad

Paul Tibbit has been running the show since Season 4...

He does sometimes, but he's mostly in-charge. These days, it's just Zeus Cervas, Casey Alexander, Dani Miachelli, Aaron Springer, Derek Iverson, Steven Banks, Sean Charmatz, and some others doing the episodes.

The show's writers, maybe. He just oversees the process, just like Hillenburg did.

Here's a random bit of info but oh well

Whenever Mr Lawrence works on an episode it usually has a plot that happens underground (Chum Caverns, That Sinking Feeling, Buried in time)

I have no idea what that has to do with anything but who cares

While I do agree that Stephen did a much better job than anybody since him, you can't say they've just failed because they aren't quite as good.

yea but stephen was better than all those ppl cuz stephen was like the best person making really great episodes , and i cant even name one bad episode in season 1-3 , stephen is the best!!!!

While I do agree that Stephen did a much better job than anybody since him, you can't say they've just failed because they aren't quite as good.
well now im saying it after watching season 6-7 but however i wouldnt say all bad episodes only a few were good but most of them were pretty bad

How is that proof?

Lol, you kill me. Silly Face! But seriously, that's not true. The people who currently write Spongebob aren't bad writers, their probably just not as good as the Spongebob pre-movie writers.

Part of the reason you hate the newer ones so much is because your comparing the pre-movie episodes t the post-movie episodes. If you watch them for for what their worth and not constantly comparing them (mentally) to the older episodes, you might actually enjoy them quite a bit.

I cant stop comparing them. =S The new ones just don't have the same feel as the old ones, and it bothers me.

I agree with you here SBLover. I started to appreciate post-movie episodes more when I watched them while acknowledging the plots and the jokes without comparison to the old episodes.
