What's New?
Currently.... SBC has hit over 500 members! This is great news for us, and hopefully we'll be getting to 600 members soon. Also, a brand new contest is going on. The first 5 users to find a golden ticket hidden somewhere on the forum, will get early access to v7! Congratulations to SOF who was the first person to find the ticket. Remember - use your heads! There are only 3 spots left. See the "Lost Temple" announcement on the homepage for more. Speaking of contests, don't forget to participate in our other contest to put a funny, original caption on an image. The winner will receive 1000 doubloons.
In the future... SBC will be moving to vBulletin on August 26th, 2011. This will also be the launch of v7. We had a good time on forumotion, but it is time for us to move. Stay tuned for more!Richest Users

The Flintstones
Probably my favorite classic cartoon series. I love it so much.
I am semi-excited that Seth MacFarlane is reviving it, but if Dino starts to talk, then I might have a problem.

I remember when Dino actually talked in one episode. I still watch this occasionally on Boomerang. A true diamond in the animated cartoon genre. I just hope Seth MacFarlane doesn't fuck it up, but he should be quite capable ay giving is something to look forward to.

Re: The Flintstones
I have high hopes that he doesn't fuck it up. In an interview that I read in EW, MacFarlane said that he wants to keep it loyal to the original. Have no clue what that means, but I have a gut feeling that he is going to throw in the usual MacFarlane humor if this airs on Fox. Not usually a bad thing, but I want no cutaways and no toilet humor (unless its actually clever).OMJ wrote:I remember when Dino actually talked in one episode. MacFarlane's reviving it? o.o Well, I guess that's fine. I'll probably watch, but I agree with Clappy on the no cutaways. I really don't want to see any potty humor at all, although I doubt that will happen.

Re: The Flintstones
I mean Seth MacFarlane does seem passionate about the material since he has made a fair amount of cutaways to The Flintstones on Family Guy. It's his just his brand of humor that makes me concerned. I like Seth MacFarlane, but The Flintstones is one of the most iconic animated franchises ever. It's going to be a challenge.
Anywho, did anyone ever watch that Pebbles and Bam Bam spin-off? I never got around to watching it, but I heard it was shit.

They show Pebbles and Bamm Bamm occasionally on Boomerang. Being a fan of the original, I grew to like it some.
