SpongeBob Mistakes

I'm surprised there wasn't already a topic like this. There are many mistakes in the episodes of SpongeBob, so why not see how many we can list? I already thought of a few.


Help Wanted:

- Steven Hillenburg's name being spelled as Steven Hilleburg in the credits.
- When SpongeBob says "I'm ready!" the third time, his collar is red.

Plankton!:

- SpongeBob's tie turns black when he puts on his pants.
- When Plankton says he has something for SpongeBob, SpongeBob's freckles are gone.

Pizza Delivery:

- Squid's eyes turning green when SpongeBob runs over him with the boulder.

Pickles:

- When Spongebob says "I'm right here, Bubble Bass," Spongebob's footsteps can be heard, even though he does not take any steps at all.

Hall Monitor:
- When the police arrive and ask Patrick about the maniac, Officer Rob's eyelids are the same color as Officer John's. But when they talk to him, the orange police fish's eyelids are orange.

Sleepy Time:

- Mr. Krabs' nose is straight instead of crooked when he fires SpongeBob.

Your Shoe's Untied:

- SpongeBob's mouth stops moving when he says "Hoppin' clams!"

Rock-a-Bye Bivalve:

- SpongeBob's tie is black one time when Patrick comes home.

Best Day Ever:

- Sandy's tail turns white during a scene in the end.



Can you think of more?

Something Smells: On the S2 DVD, Instead of SpongeBob saying "Hi building!", the "I just don't get it!" exchange is duplicated.

Krabs a la Mode:

Spongebob: Here's your krabby patty and lemonade, Mr. Krabs.
Mr. Krabs: *only takes the lemonade*

^Uh...how is that a mistake? :s

In Abrasive Side:
Mr Krabs learns of the word "overtime" and is frightened, when he uses the word "overtime" several times prior to the episode.

He only takes the lemonade when he was offered (and presumably ordered) a Krabby Patty with it.

I'm sure that there are tons in every season, maybe even every episode but we don't notice them. They just happen in cartoons all the time.

Penny Foolish:

When Mr. Krabs has SpongeBob check all his pockets, he forgets to have him check his right pocket, which is actually where he was originally seen putting the "penny."

The Movie: The Krusty Krab 2 sign keeps disappearing and reappearing.

When Plankton steals the crown, it's normal-sized. When SpongeBob and Patrick retrieve it in Shell City, it's huge!

Um... why's that a mistake though? o_o If you just get your food at a restaurant, you're telling me you're going to take both your hamburger and your drink in both hands and take a bite out of both...?

In Home Sweet Pineapple, Squidward wakes up in the morning. Then, moments later, Spongebob's dad says they have dinner waiting.

thats funny you say that cos i just watched that episode a minute ago and noticed the same thing.

In the Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy episode where they made the movie, Patrick is filming and after Pearl goes downhill and all the equipment is ruined, Patrick says he left the lense cap on during the filming; however, if you look closely, you can clearly see that the lense cap was off during the filming.

Maybe it's just me, but Squidward seems very off model in that scene as well.

Help wanted: When spongebob is sleeping on the oposite side of the bed.

Oral Report: When Sandy rips off the man's clothes from the chart, her arm is yellow instead of brown.
Club Spongebob: Same thing except it's Squidward's arm that turns yellow when he's holding the magic conch shell.

Spongebob the movie: Neptune looks way different from the last episode Neptune's spatula and clash of the titons

The whole episode "Pet or Pests" was a mistake.

In The Main Drain, SpongeBob went to a freezer for a patty, saw that grill was dirty, cleaned it and went to the freezer for a patty again. But, where is the patty that he took before he cleaned the grill?

In Rock Bottom, as the bus comes up outside of Glove World, one of SpongeBob's arms is gone. And, in No Weenies Allowed (I believe) the hospital sign says ''Emereency''.

Rock Bottom: SpongeBob has no money to pay the bus drver, yet has money to buy a Kelp Nouget Crunch.
Also, if he has no money, he wouldn't be able to catch another bus anyway.

Home Sweet Pineapple: At the start, Patrick has a TV in his rock. Later, his rock is completely empty!

True it was a terrible episode , but i wouldn't say they did any mistakes in that episode.

In Best Day Ever, when Squidward says ''And I guess if you hadn't fixed my reed, the whole concert would've been a complete bust.'', Sandy's tail is completely white.
