Paranormal Activity Franchise

Definitely the scariest movie I have seen in quite some time. I watched it tonight and I don't know if I can fall asleep tonight after watching it. I mean it is makeing me wonder what happens in my sleep. The whole demon thing is more improbable, but its not impossible

Who else has seen it?

I saw the first one and thought it was really boring.

In my opinion, I thought it was really boring. The only part that made me scared was the end when the screen is quiet for a minute, and then the guy smashes into the camera and the girl lets out a demonic scream and jumps at the screen....

Just saw the first two, and can't wait for the third. Really great movies, in my personal opinion.

Both are on Netflix, but I have no interest in watching. The camera angles look very irritating, artistic decision or not.

But it doesn't matter about the camera angle; it catches everything you need to see. But like Claps said, it's pretty scary. For me, it wasn't so much the ghost, and it mentally and physically torturing Katie (the protagonist) that frightened me, but it was the fact that I couldn't see the demon. That's really what made me ponder and get scared.

The first one was one of the scariest movies I have ever seen.

The sequel was attempting to be more of the same but just failed terribly.

Now I hear that there is a third? This franchise is quickly turning into the Saw movies, so I'll pass.

The second one wasn't focused on the girl, although she was in it.

The first one was pretty good, didn't got me really scared or anything but it was pretty good. The second one though, I felt was unnecessary. I get the whole cliffhanger at the end of the first, but a sequel wasn't needed in my opinion. I just loved the thought of something evil that follows and haunt you just for the hell of it since that is what demons pretty much strive for, but the whole backstory given in the second was kinda just...meh. I guess there must be a little logic somewhere. Story aside, the second one provided me with some good laughs.

Another sequel? I don't know how they could make one work. Doesn't the demon lady already have (to avoid spoilers) that thing she was trying to get? Is she just gonna haunt another family for the lulz or is the daughter from the second one gonna hunt her down and get back that thing her family sent it? So crazy that I'm just gonna watch it with anticipation.
