SBC News
What's New? Currently.... SBC has hit over 500 members! This is great news for us, and hopefully we'll be getting to 600 members soon. Also, a brand new contest is going on. The first 5 users to find a golden ticket hidden somewhere on the forum, will get early access to v7! Congratulations to SOF who was the first person to find the ticket. Remember - use your heads! There are only 3 spots left. See the "Lost Temple" announcement on the homepage for more. Speaking of contests, don't forget to participate in our other contest to put a funny, original caption on an image. The winner will receive 1000 doubloons. In the future... SBC will be moving to vBulletin on August 26th, 2011. This will also be the launch of v7. We had a good time on forumotion, but it is time for us to move. Stay tuned for more!

Homosexuality: Born with it, or choose to be it?

Do you believe homosexuality is a choice, or are you born with it?

Post by that70sguy92 on 12/12/2010, 1:21 am

How could anyone that uses their brain think it's a choice?

Brittany: Well, family is a place where everybody loves you no matter what. And they accept you for who you are. I know I'm going to be a bridesmaid at Mike and Tina's wedding. And I'm going to be anxiously waiting just like everybody else to see if their babies are Asian too. When they find an operation to make Artie's legs work again, I'm going to be there for his first steps. I love them, I love everyone in glee club and I get to spend another year with the people I love. So, I'm good.
Santana: What about you and I?
Brittany: I love you Santana. I love you more than I've ever loved anyone else in this world. All I know about you and I is that because of that, I think anything's possible.
Santana: When did you get so smart?

QFT. 70s is right, homosexuality is not a choice. Its not like I can get up one morning and say "Hey, I feel like being homosexual today." Nope, it doesn't work that way.

There are people that think it's a choice (i'm not one of them, but i've heard people say they think it's a choice before). Isn't the point of these threads to voice opinions?

Case in point storytime. We are voicing our opinions about this. We think that people who think its a choice are absolutely wrong.

New reply. How can you be born straight? The same way you're born straight or bisexual. You can't choose to be gay. Who would make that choice? The choice to be an outcast?

Nobody can really control where their hormones lead them. It's not like being gay is just a trend that can easily be overcome.
I'm not sure if it really starts at birth, but when you think of it, all of our personality traits start at birth.

Oh, come on. You're 14. There was recently an episode of Glee where a 16-year-old girl still believed in Santa and it was hilarious. You're 14. I found out there was no Santa when I was 6. I never thought there was a tooth fairy, an Easter bunny, or any of that shit.

Why can't he believe in Santa? It's like if you did this exact same thing, except replacing Santa Claus with God or Jesus. He can believe in him if he wants. Hell, I believed in Santa till I was 10.

Oh, teenj. We do love you.
teenj's not a stupid person, he just says stupid things.
Like that I believe in Santa Claus? Patheticry Well, I know never to post on this part of the forum again..
Sorry, I just find it strange that someone as mature as teenj can believe in a fat man flying around the world in a sleigh in one night and climbing down chimneys. Oh, and flying reindeer.

This thread doesn't fail. There are people out there who think its a choice (not me, but there are people out there who think that).
Yeah, but those people are stupid and therefore don't post here.

I have to agree with you here. I think we're being a little too hard on teenj.

I do too. But about this? Not really. This is the part of the forum to express opinions.

Going massively off-topic while doing so is not part of this forum, though.
