I need to say something

There's something that a really want to talk about right now so that no one gets the wrong vibe out of me. I have so much that I want to say, so I'm going to try and see if I can get it all out right now. Earlier, I was on the xat and a few users were commenting, saying I was making annoying and inappropriate comments. While I didn't think what I said was any worse than what others were saying and thought it was unfair that they were getting a free pass just because they were cooler, that70sguy92 said something that got me thinking. Not thinking to the point where I'm having a rite of passage or whatever, but still...
I didn't really get why 70s was saying all this. We used to be really close friends and I don't think he's ever had a problem with me before. I was almost certain that he was joking and was waiting for the "just kidding" confirmation, but he wasn't; he was actually impulsed by me. Well, in a nutshell, he was saying that I see myself as important and doesn't get why I'm owner and that I didn't deserve. While he probably should have known better than to say that right in my cyber-face, it got me thinking: is that how a lot of users here see me?

Anyway, I don't usually see myself as any more important that the guy sitting next to me, but subconsciously I guess we all kind of think that. So, let me explain a little about myself.
One of the things 70s was criticizing about me was that I apparently see myself as more important because I've been involved in the SpongeBob web community in 2005. If this were 2008, my 14-year-old self would've probably agreed with that. But understand that it has been two long years since then, and I have greatly changed ever since. He brought up something weird I said in the summer of '09 and that was a year and a half ago. Please understand that I was a lot younger back then that I was now and I'll explain more.
You see, back in 2005, I was 11, and just got out of elementary school. I really only had one friend, and our friendship ended about a year later. I won't be afraid to say that there was a point in my life where I had no real life friends. I guess I've always liked being to myself, and didn't really like to hang out much.
However, I did try to have as many friends as I could, but I found it hard at times. Sometimes I would try to mix myself with crowds and try to fit in the best I could.

Now here's where the annoyingness comes in. I can be a wacky guy and I am sometimes creative when it comes to comedy, however, sometimes I let social humor get to my head and may take things too far. Particularly I like to take things to a certain direction: sex. Yes, I can say that I am a teenager and like most teenagers we can't help but mix sex into come of our everyday conversations, one way or the other. As it turns out, I inadvertently made a comment about 70s wife that really offended him. I didn't even realize that I said it until 70s bashed me for it. I was deeply sorry and explained myself. You see, sometimes I get crazy and say some questionable things. I guess I'm usually just trying to fit in. Anyway, my social awkwardness probably came to a slow halt during my sophomore year in high school. I actually had a friend whom I sat with at lunch and I really relate to him. I have two other friends who are close to me as well. We share a lot of laughs.

Anyway, you may be wondering, how did all this coincide with my Internet life here on SBC and TV.com? Well, the SpongeBob forms have always been a refuge to me and I have made many close friends there. Throughout 2005-2009, my social life was pretty much just this. I met some really great users and I had fun talking about something I really liked: SpongeBob. I know I obsess over the show too much, but if there's anything I've learned here, it's that I'm not alone. As pathetic as it sounds, I am proud to be a devoted SpongeBob lover; and I can say this because I know I have many others here who can back me up.

Before I wrap this thread up, I'd like to talk about a certain person I know in real life. His name is Jolly, and he's one of the guys who currently sit at my lunch table. He annoys everyone there, including me. He's always poking me or doing something every time he walks past me to get on my nerves. I look at him and I think, he's pretty much who I was during my entire elementary school and middle school life. Only thing is he doesn't seem to care about the insults we throw at him...or so I think. Well, what I guess my point here is this: I should just be myself and stop trying so hard to be cool and popular. And I think I've very well learned that in the past two years. I'm still maturing and soon I will look back at my adolescence as an adult and say, "Man was I clueless back then."
So basically, I don't intend to make myself seem any better than anyone else, and if anyone thinks that, it's just not true. Thanks for taking your time to read this awfully long thread and I forgive any harm any of you guys might have done to me and I hope you can forgive me. I would just appreciate it if you guys would not just throw me insults and treat me like I'm nothing. There are calmer ways to express one's feelings toward one another.

SpongeSebastian, oh SpongeSebastian. After reading your lengthy post, I just have a few minor comments to make.

-A lot of us thought your posting with Kinda about sex, smilies, etc. was getting to the point of spam and it was kinda getting annoying (I already said this last night, but just thought I'd say it again). However, some of us were kinda getting involved too, so not all of us were innocent.

I told you this yesterday and it seems like I got to explain myself again. Cool is an overexaggeration. Not just on the internet, but in real life. I don't see why everyone thinks being cool is such a wonderful thing when in reality "cool" is just a figment of one's imagination. Everyone is just being themselves and making friends with people who they get along with. I don't see how that makes them "cooler" than others. It's just fitting in with cliques you get along with and making friends.

Now when it comes to the current situation at hand, I don't say anyone is getting a free pass. If someone is spamming too much or getting on our nerves, we let them know. If its dragiiiin, tvguy, 70s, ex, me, jjs, fa, Santa, Jelly, anyone and I mean anyone we let them know that they are getting annoying.

Oh and also I, for one, don't see any particular cliques on SBC. I try to be friends with everyone on here. I mean yes there are people who I feel like I am better friends with than others (ex, Jelly, 70s, termi for example), I don't act indifferent towards anyone. I feel like I am not the only one who acts the same way. I think everyone just tries to befriend everyone and not automatically judge them. There is no need to try to fit into cliques like you said you were trying to do. Just try to be friends with everyone no matter how one person judges them.

-Last comment I swear. I don't think of you as being higher than anyone else. I do remember when I came back in 2008 and thought to myself that you seemed to come off as a bit better than everyone else since you have been around for such a long time. Now I know that you at least felt that way, I can tell myself that my assumption was correct. Does that mean I treated you indifferently? Hell no. Everyone likes to think highly of themselves. I know I have a tendency to at times.

I will give you this though and I have been meaning to get this off my chest for the past year. There is a user that does think incredibly highly of himself and back in the day use to always expect respect and even go as far as make blogs bitching about a lack of respect shown to him. I think plenty of you know this user and have seen me complain about how big an ass this user is because of his massive ego and how I hate people who only think of themselves. So I am going to end my blog with this statement.

Yes, "cool" is a very theoretical word, but I've experience times in my life where my reputation has led to unbalanced discrimination from those who I thought were in the "cool" clique. I completely agree that most people here including myself just try to make friends and not judge them. Notice that I have never been the first to call-out or insult anyone else here, though others have done it to me.
Pretty much what I'm trying to say is I have never came here to fight; I've come here to just have a small little social life with people who share the same little interest as me.
Yes, I have thought that perhaps this forum is biased in their punishments when it comes to users who they like, but now I figured if they're able to ban Dragiiin then they are being fair.
One other point I'd like to make is if I'm ever getting on anyone's nerves in the chat, please calmly tell me in the private chat. If you (as in anyone in general) straight-on tell me I'm being annoying in front of everyone else, then you're inviting others to join in the ridiculing which is exactly what happened last night. Please give me a chance to calm myself down as well instead of just resorting to insulting me for the rest of the night.

I always did too, but MSN helped me realize how self centered he was. Whenever I chatted with him, he would always talk about himself and never give a shit about what I had to say.
