SBC News
What's New? Currently.... SBC has hit over 500 members! This is great news for us, and hopefully we'll be getting to 600 members soon. Also, a brand new contest is going on. The first 5 users to find a golden ticket hidden somewhere on the forum, will get early access to v7! Congratulations to SOF who was the first person to find the ticket. Remember - use your heads! There are only 3 spots left. See the "Lost Temple" announcement on the homepage for more. Speaking of contests, don't forget to participate in our other contest to put a funny, original caption on an image. The winner will receive 1000 doubloons. In the future... SBC will be moving to vBulletin on August 26th, 2011. This will also be the launch of v7. We had a good time on forumotion, but it is time for us to move. Stay tuned for more!

I've been waiting for years, and i've heard that they made one, but it would be way too expensive and something that only rich people would be able to afford.

There's not much of a point, IMO. Sure, it would be OMG AWESOME, but the only real benefit I can think of is no land space wasted on roads.

You don't drive an airplane somewhere. If it were a "flying car" it'd be compact and made for a smaller amount of people and you could drive it everywhere.

That would suck if somebody was driving a flying car and ran out of gas.

And how fast will these cars go?

And how much gas will they consume?

And how many of these will be flying around the sky?

And how many accidents will ensue?

Airplanes are the closest things we're getting to flying cars for a long time.

They've already made some. I don't know the specs, but I do know they're expensive. But how is an airplane classified as a "flying car"?

If you so choose, you can drive it (though that wouldn't be the smartest idea).

It consumes gas.

It flies.

What else do you expect from a flying car? Something other than a regular car that just has the perk of flight? That's just a smaller version of an airplane.

Yes, but airplanes and the supposed "flying cars" I've seen look completely different. The smallest airplanes can still fit about six to eight people and are much larger than the flying cars.

Oh boy. Cars carry less people.

Anything else you want out of a flying car? Because aside from acting like a flying mini-van, an airplane has everything you need.

If cars do fly, I would definitely not want to run out of gas in the air. Otherwise, farewell cruel world. At least I wouldn't die if I ran out of fuel on the road.

You could. Like... if you were in a tiny car in front of a semi.

Brittany: Well, family is a place where everybody loves you no matter what. And they accept you for who you are. I know I'm going to be a bridesmaid at Mike and Tina's wedding. And I'm going to be anxiously waiting just like everybody else to see if their babies are Asian too. When they find an operation to make Artie's legs work again, I'm going to be there for his first steps. I love them, I love everyone in glee club and I get to spend another year with the people I love. So, I'm good.
Santana: What about you and I?
Brittany: I love you Santana. I love you more than I've ever loved anyone else in this world. All I know about you and I is that because of that, I think anything's possible.
Santana: When did you get so smart?

Too bad you can't drift on air.

Oh, and this.
You'd be daft if you tried to make this fun on a flying car.

Terrafugia's made a plane-car already. It's called the Transition, it's got collapsible wings & a propeller on the back.
